  1. I was glad I got to witness this game in person. A great football game to say the least. Big plays were everywhere for both teams. Kane Snyder, IMO, was the best football player out there tonight for both teams. He came ready to play and it looks like he has gotten back into the old Kane Snyder: put his hand down on the ground when losing balance to keep up, trucking kids left and right. It was nice to see him ready for the playoffs. Wallace sat out most of the game with what looked like an apparent right ankle injury. He twisted it early on and was able to tape it up but couldn't get much strength in it. He will have to ready to go next week. Hats off to Bishop Brossart. A class act team. #27 was very good and very fast and killed some good runs early in the game. He is a very good football player, as well as #7. Bishop Brossart played a well game. They had a game plan and, for the most part, executed it very well. Really like their coaching staff and players' hearts in this game. A very good first round win for the Rams and a very nice showing for a program that looked to be extinct the last couple of years. I hope BB rebounds and has an even better year next year.
  2. I am able to come up to the game. Ready for the game! Hope both teams come out with their heads high and injury free.
  3. Best game for the Rams since Valley. Heck of a game.
  4. They have continued to make progress. That is what makes it so special. We have done things in the last two seasons that has never been done before. It is by no means the best program in KY, but it is one of the best in NEKY. Considering your statement as not a "huge Fairview fan", what has Fairview done?
  5. Messer wasn't a scapegoat. The most he was ever a scapegoat was maybe last year. But they still had Dixon and Young. Messer was great athlete but he was never a scapegoat. At all.
  6. Kent Phelps is a better back than Kash Daniels. I've seen it in person. Kash is in the backfield because he is a playmaker. Kash isn't anything special, IMO. Very good football player, no doubt but I think Quinton Baker is more college ready than Kash. I think Quinton deserves it more than Kash, however, I'm not sure over EVERYONE else in the running.
  7. If you ask me, the 2006, 2008, 2013, and 2014 teams were all very similar personnel wise. They all had their own standout athletes. But those athletes dos not make those teams make playoff runs. It was the other players, the non-standout athletes. It was Loren Huffman, Patrick Hamilton, Corey Baldridge, Cody Chinn, Cody Kelley, Timmy McCommas, Andrew Salyers, Austin Manis. These were ALL great athletes that helped the teams make a great playoff run. Some were below average, some were average and some were above average. That's what Raceland Football is about. Taking pride in what your team has. Taking that pride and kicking another teams butt come Friday night. Raceland doesn't have any state titles, but I'm 100% sure that the Rams will be in Bowling Green in the next four years. It's a bold statement but it's what I expect. Not predict, expect.
  8. Raceland may need it too...it's hard to call that game.
  9. I think you're right. Rams pull of an "upset" in OT! I think they bring the heat and play their best ball of the year against the Tigers. 36-35 Rams
  10. Thanks for that RAMCAT. Considerably more than 4. Lol.
  11. For some reason the link won't work. How many losing seasons does it say? I heard this a few years ago that the Rams only had 4 losing seasons. And the source is usually a credible source.
  12. Theoretically speaking, they have a chance of making a one seed if they win Friday night. Just putting that out there. Also, Raceland graduates 9-15 every year and yet they still win. Note for anyone that is curious: Raceland has only had four losing seasons in the history of the program. Rams find a way to win. May not always win against Ashland but they find a way to win against anyone. Found a way against a good Lawrence Co. team this year. Almost beat a VERY good Lucasville Valley team. Found a way to beat Ironton two years ago. Found a way to beat Russell five years in a row. Hell, they may be a small school, but they beat much larger teams. It's the history of Raceland. (This is no dis on any school in the state, just making a point). Raceland has made a program by utilizing below average, average, and just above average football players and winning a number of games. There has never been a Raceland team that has won games just because of ONE football player. Raceland wins games because they have a few good players and numerous average football players. Now, we have had a few gifted athletes in recent years but by no means did they win games because of only those people. I'm sorry, but having a team with just a one-man-show is not a "team" to me. A team is a team that uses everyone and everything in their power to win games that they most definitely should win and games they shouldn't have much chance to win at all. As to West Carter, they are better this year than years past, but they have no statement wins this year. I'm sorry. Right now, they are an average team at best. Sorry bub.
  13. That's a question I don't have the answer to. I was saying this due to Generaldown's post.
  14. The fifth seed in Pikeville's district plays as the fourth seed in Raceland's, to my knowledge. Nonetheless, if there is a three way tie in Raceland's district, Raceland will play as the 1 seed correct? Due to strength of schedule?
  15. 7 Johnson Central 5 Harlan 3 Knox 2 Pulaski 1 Raceland TB: Johnson Central
  16. Thanks for the info. I don't want to call out Salmons but Raceland does like to kick a lot of onside kicks due to the lack of the kicking game. Regardless, I think it hurt the Rams. Short field position. Nonetheless, Rans didn't come ready to play as OR said: outplayed, out hustled, and out desired. Rebound next game to set up a tiebreaker situation that, hopefully, can get them a 2 seed or even a one seed. Any info who how the tiebreakers work?
