  1. True but most of them played last year. Hopefully they have realized they can play at this level this year. Plus Holmes does't seem to have as many difference makers this year as they normally do. I hoping for HC to win a well played game from their crosstown rivals.
  2. Don't forget Hamilton Scott QB1 runs the ball pretty well also.
  3. Holmes didn't look good stopping the run when they played NCC... So HC has a chance if they stick to making Holmes defend the read option. Staying out of 2nd/3rd and long is the key.
  4. If HC can run the ball and prevent the big play quick score, they have a chance of pulling out the win this Friday.
  5. I was assuming the BC champ team that wore Blue and White that we played 6 or 7 years ago was the Cougars. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry for not having a better memory.
  6. 6 or 7 years ago those player should be Jr, So, or Fr depending on how which year we played. I can'r remember if we were 9 or 10 year old's. In the Buckeye league we have teams with 1 year age groups.
  7. My Hilltop team played the BC champs 6 or 7 years ago at Shroder high school in Cincy. That might have been before the watering down of talent. My point was the NKY football fans view football in a small bubble of NKY talent. If your a good football team you're a good football team anywhere
  8. Which game are you referring too? The Hilltop game or the Bengal Tiger game. Hilltop beat the Cougars badly the game was called in the 3rd qtr. The Cougars beat the Bengal Tigers by 3 or 4 scores.

  11. Damn I miss the good ole days!!!
  12. I have to chime in on this BCPWFL football conversation. I personally don't understand why everyone from BC thinks the BCPWFL is such a great league. I have personally never been part of a team that has lost to a BCPWFL team. I started coaching Pee Wee football in Cincy in the Buckeye League 8 years ago. The Buckeye League is the home of the Hilltop Hawks, Forest Park Rams, Winton Woods Warriors, Western AA Warriors, Mt. Airy Chargers and a couple of teams out of Dayton. This league has the most talented and competitive players I've every seen. The parents and coaches get a little carried away, but that's everywhere in youth sports. I coached against a couple of teams from the BCPWFL those kids would be Soph & Jr. this fall. We blew out the teams from BC. When my son played 1 year for the Bengal Tigers a couple of years ago we played the Bandits and won a hard fought game 8-6. Instead of being good sports about it and wishing us well for a good game, we were called thugs the claimed our RB was too big and they vowed never to play us again. They sad we played dirty football. The week before my son joined the Bengal Tigers they play the Cougars and lost by 3 or 4 scores. It was a blowout to say the least. That Bengal Tiger team had a great run that year and lost the their Super Bowl to a team that had high school players on it, but I digress. All this talk about which league is better and feeder programs for high schools is all well and good, but what's the point if you're not going to settle it on the field? Have all the Pee Wee league champs play a tournament at the end of the season and let the kids determine who has the best team and league. Just 1 football parent/coach/nut's opinion. Good luck this year everyone.
  13. I heard HC did pretty well at Pendleton, winning all 3 games with great performances by QB/FS Hamilton Scott & RB/MLB Xavier Abernathy.
  14. Does any have results for the schools that participated? Pendleton County Holy Cross Bracken County Harris County
  15. Yes they are distant cousins but they have never met. That should change very soon.
  16. HC has a really good Soph. RB 6'0" 220lbs. Xavier Abernathy #3
  17. He's lived in KY most of his life, but he played Pee Wee football in Cincy.
  18. I just think the HC running game is going to dominate this game. Just take a look at what HC has for RB's Jalen Beal - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl Power and Speed
  19. HC's running game is pretty much all they have, but its better than any other 2A teams that I've seen this year. I seen them run outside and pound it between the tackles against 9 & 10 in the box. Don't be surprised if they run for over 400 yards tomorrow.
  20. If Holy Cross runs the ball like they can, I see them grinding out a 1st round win.
  21. I saw this game and I'm very disappointed in the Holy Cross coaches. The Wildcats players and coaches showed great heart and rose to the occasion.
