Barnes looks like he will be a dominate player this year and the O-line is still a question mark. Friday's scrimmage will let everyone know how far they have come. They have worked very hard this off-season.
Funny thing about high school football underclassmen become upperclassmen and get better. Holy Cross was a very young football team last year with the majority of the team being sophomores. With that being said those 2nd team players are the same players that will have to tackle Abernathy for the next 2 years. Don't get me wrong HC sucked the past 2 years but they won't suck these next 2 years.
I think he might be best in nky... but I wanna see how my guys from HC do... I think Pleasant from Scott runs violently and it's wonderful thing to see
How did Scott do against HC I keep hearing conflicting reports. I heard it was a tie or HC won. I would love to hear more details.
I've seen a lot of post about how well SK did last week but I didn't hear anything about their 7on7 lost to HC. IJS
What is your point about Dillon Powell, 7 on 7's are a passing contest. With that being said I didn't know Dillon Powell played D. I'm sure he would have shut down Barnes & Abernathy.
From what I saw SK varsity couldn't stop the HC varsity and lost 7 scores to 5. I just wanted to see if the SK nation was going to have anything to say about it. BTW Barnes had 3 scores and Abernathy had 2 scores.
HC will have a very strong trio at QB, RB and OW (Offensive Weapon) with Scott, Abernathy & Barnes. Arguably the most talented running trio in the area this year.
I think the RB tandems from Scott and Holy Cross maybe the most talented in NKY. HC has 2 6'0 220lbs RB's (Abernathy/Barnes) and we all know how good the Scott RB's (London/Pleasant) are.
If you guys have ever seen Steve Logan from UC play. Then you will understand how Jake plays. Jake is small and looks a little chubby but he can shoot the ball and play the game at its highest level.
I'm Holy Cross parent so I have no ties to Jake or Scott high.
