Well it should be a good game August 21st at Cooper. Sounds like Cooper has upgraded their team, so maybe it will be a good test for CCH. Let's hope Cooper made some improvements to their field. Which was, without a doubt, the worst field CCH has played on the last two years.

U16's play in regionals this weekend in Dayton. o Saturday, June 21, 12:00pm, Ankeney Field 3 versus the Illinois Champ (Chicago Fire) o Sunday, June 22, 2:00pm, Ankeney Field 4 versus the Minnesota State Champ (Minneapolis United) o Monday, June 23, 8:00am, Ankeney Field 4 versus the Ohio North State Champ (Crew Juniors) Semis Tuesday, finals Wednesday. Last time they tied Fire 1-1. They beat Crew Juniors 2-0, and tied them 1-1 the time before. Don’t know anything about MN United. Not rated that high, but not that that means anything. Unfortunately, for the Monday's game they will be missing their two starting center defenders.

CCH probably has to be the favorite. Only lost one regular season game to NKY teams last season... 3-1 to Boone County. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think O'Hara had a hat trick in that game. He's gone. Disappointing loss in PKs to NCC. A game, in which CCH played one of their better games. Really controlling most of the game. They hit the woodwork I think 5 times. Still no pure goal scoring threat, but should score more than last year. They will have many talented players who can find the back of the net.. as they say. Another thread mentioned the four seniors, but one of the juniors, Bryce Day, was also on the the state cup winning team with two of the seniors. Many of these kids have been playing together for years, so I expect this to be a very unselfish team. It will be interesting to see where the coach plays everyone. Need to see if any new defenders step up. Four players who played mostly in defense last year could, and some probably will, be moved to offense. I don't think the coach likes to sub much, but the depth of players should really help this year. Both for giving key players a blow, and the competition for spots. And, I think they'll be better at PKs.

Doesn't seem like many games. Is that because of the All A tourney?

It says 50 committed, not 50 accepted scholarships. Not the same thing. Many of these are DivIII... no scholarships even available. Although, as someones said earlier, they could have received academic scholarships.

Kings Hammer u16 boys won two games, the only team in the top division to win both games, in the weather shortened OE showcase. They beat Ohio South state cup champs, OP, 1-0, and IL state cup runner up, GSA Libertyville, 1-0.
