  1. Sorry to disagree with you, but I looked back through this thread and I can't see one post that is agreeing with anything you said.
  2. I don't think the number of goals by one player will determine the success of CCH this year. The key is to score enough in each game to win. Obviously CCH didn't do that last year when it counted, however, let's compare two teams. One had no player score more than 10 goals. The other had players that scored 30, 18 and 9. Which team would you say had the better year? The former finished 10-2-1 against northern Kentucky teams. The later finished 6-9-1 with most of the wins against decidedly weak opponents. While the second team had some impressive individual statistics, 57 combined goals, 28 were against 4 teams. So, having bountiful scorers for the season is neither necessary nor sufficient to win. CCH had balanced scoring last year, and I expect the same this year. Last year they had 14 players score with their top 5 averaging 9 goals per game. That said, I think they need to score more than last year, but goals should come from a number of spots on the field. Only 8 goals from their starting striker last year will have to improve. Plus I think Ballow, Day, and Kenney will increase their scoring from last year. Look for a lot more than 1 from Schuh as well. These stats are from the KHSAA website. I make no claim to their accuracy.
  3. I think you already did a pretty good job of that. Plus, I didn't see the games.
  4. OK. Let me see if I can summarize. Great Pics. Some think coach is a genius. Some think coach is silly. Some have no sense of humor and are looking for reasons to be offended. Jokes on coach not kids. Yellow has a potty mouth. I can't wait for next Tuesday to see how much of a genius the coach is. And, see Logan and Adam on the field, and playing against Bryce, Patrick and Parker in a game that counts.
  5. Um. I think the "joke" is on the coach not the kids.
  6. With the bags on their heads and no numbers on their jerseys, I'm not sure why they didn't let them play. It would still have been a mystery who these players were. In fact, they could deploy that strategy all year. The opponents would be left wondering for every game. "Who are these guys?"
  7. Yellow Card said "Brossart against CCH was evenly contested..." Groinpull said "Brossart's keeper kept them in the game and they got help from the post/crossbar a couple of times. I might be wrong but I don't recall a shot on goal for Brossart." I guess they both could be right.
  8. Sir!, Sounds like you saw many of the games. Probably hard to tell about teams because of the lineups being used, but what about any players that you thought stood out? Anyone else with comments on this?
  9. Sorry Yellow. I sent this and saw you beat my comment.
  10. Oldtime and Yellow. So was this game all about the refs? No score? You guys make great radio play by play announcers. "Did you see that play?" No, it's radio.
  11. From what I have seen, Scott plays a lot of varsity in JV games, so in a way they did play their JV.
  12. And, evidently you think it is the most talented team they will ever have. You must be clairvoyant.
  13. Well, that doesn't say much about the rest of the team.
  14. I don't pretend to understand fans of girls soccer, or women for that matter. So, can someone explain to me why a thread on a high school soccer team only manages to talk about a girl who is no longer on the team and takes jabs at conservative news, but nothing about the team?
  15. I'm sure you were a very fine player... probably had to use football cleats, and maxipads for shin guards back then. However, I think Whatever was referring to my list of returning players that mistakenly listed Josh Keuper. I apologized for any players I missed. I should have included apologies for any players I named that would not be returning.
  16. That's why I qualified the list. It was meant to generate discussion, and it seems to have worked. However, despite your's and Glyde's complaints, you did manage to mention about half the 1st three teams. The others are on teams you admitted you don't know well enough about, so maybe they belong as well. I agree with the Parker Kenney comment. He might have been the best defender last year.
  17. I was going to mention Treadway as well. Excellent player. Only negative is all the.... well you know.
  18. And... apologies to anyone I missed.
  19. Here are the returning Northern Kentucky Coaches Association all stars from last year. Not that I am saying this means anything, but it's a starting point for discussion. 20. Why were they only able to play at full strength for 15 minutes?
  21. That's the great thing about this CCH preseason team. Their depth should overcome any injuries to key players. I would still have them preseason champs. In years past, knowing who the two injured players would have mattered.
