I'd vote 1985 Clay County had Farmer and Asher Hoptown had Quarles and Ware Mason County had Feldhaus Paintsville had Pelphry Doss had Maurice Jones Apollo had Chapman Lex Cath had a very talented team, but no names come to mind soooooo much talent in that one, I'd also give consideration to 1974 when Male had Dr. Dunkenstein and Bryan Station had Goose Givens.

For the most part I'd say you're correct, the Royals SHOULD win it in a walk. That being said, for the past four seasons, Mason has been considered one of the 3 or 4 teams vying for the region title, and for three of those four seasons they got to the post-season and laid an egg against a team that, on paper, they should've dominated, and the one year that they didn't they came very close. Also worth noting that Mason beat Augusta by about twenty in the regular season last year and thought they had them taken care of, then got to district and got a big surprise. This year, they only beat them by 11 in the regular season. Mason is far and away the top team right now, but once February 23rd rolls around that can change in the blink of an eye. The way I see it, the 39th still belongs to Augusta and the 10th still belongs to Campbell until somebody comes and takes it from them. For Mason to do that they'll have to break this trend of looking past post-season opponents, and only time will tell if they have.

At first glance i'll give it to Cov Cath. In addition to their regular 9th region schedule (which could probably crack the top 10-15 on it's own) they got, Campbell County and Scott (two top teams in the 10th), Trinity and St. X (big time 7th region teams, on the road), KCC & PCC (two best in the 14th), Cincinnati St. X, Cincinnati Moeller, and Cincinnati Hughes (all on the road), Louisville Central, Henry Clay, PRP, Simon Kenton, and Madison Central.

Lower bracket will be interesting. Paris will definitely be the favorite, but Augusta's right there with them and Bracken and St. Pat have proven they can play with those teams. The five best players in the tournament going head-to-head. Should be a war.

I've seen Omar Prewitt go for 40 and 21. I've seen Travis Combs of Manchester, OH score 45. I've seen Blake Justice of Peebles, OH score 51. And I've seen Brent Bach break 40 three different times.
