Neither does anyone else. My real question is does Rowan have anyone who can handle against Rose Hill's pressure because they will sure test them. If Rowan isn't strong with the ball it will be a big margin.

What kind of guard play does Rowan have?

If you are speaking of me then I must say that I have great respect for their coaches and players. Fans are fans and the vast, vast majority, even you:D are great. But when ever someone uses the radio to attack children, whether by ridiculing them or misrepresenting things, then I have to take exception.

I stand corrected. I still say it just makes the win all that much sweeter knowing that it is causing this much distress.

A few notes. 1. Shooterx3 is partially correct. The game was a 8 point game with right at a miniute left and Rose Hill seemed to be in complete control. Ashland hits a couple of threes, Rose Hill misses two front ends and the game got tight pretty quick. However, the final score wasn't the closest Ashland got. They actually closed within 1 point. 2. I understand that Mike Davis was referred to as a transfer on the radio. Mike has been at Rose Hill since kindergarden with the exception of a couple of months during his 8th grade year. So to refer to him as a transfer is a stretch at best. I find it interesting that Malloy isn't referred to as a transfer from Holy Family. Maybe, it is because 40% of Ashland's starters are Holy Family boys. 3. If Mr. Martin is complaining that means Rose Hill is scoring more points than his team. Trust me he didn't make any negative remarks 5 years ago when Ashland won by 60. That my friends is a pretty good trade off.

I think that too much is made of the officiating. The bottomline is that Ashland shot 7-11 from behind the arc and 20-23 from the free throw line. That kind of percentages will keep you in most every game.

Onetoya, those are might kind words coming from a diehard Ashland supporter and they are much appreciated. I too hope to see another matchup between these two teams in Morehead because it means that they are in the finals. :thumb:

Spirited effort by Ashland and they should have confidence heading into the regional tournament. Rose Hill lead by 8 to 13 points almost the entire second half. The positive for Rose Hill is that Ashland shot the ball extremely well and lived on the foul line and yet the Royals found a way to win. Kudos to Johnny Bush, Scott Gambill, and Alex Malloy for their outstanding play tonight. It should be noted that 6 of Rose Hill's 13 free throws came when Ashland was fouling to stop the clock.

I don't mean this in a bad way but why would anyone born after 1990 be intimidated by the Ashland jersey?

I think the dumbest saying ever is "it's hard to beat a good team 3 times." Now what since does that make? If you are better you are better. I personally think it is harder to beat a team after they have handled you 2 times. However, I did think Fairview would win but I am not shocked by the outcome.

It's ok to vote with your heart but I think anyone who has seen these two play would agree that Rose Hill come in as a pretty good favorite. To me this game comes down to one thing, how does Ashland shoot. If they shoot really well it will be a game if not it is curtains. Rose Hill can shoot poorly and still win because they will create points with rebounding and defense. Anyway I will pick with my heart and say Rose Hill by 13.

:laugh: I failed to mention how much I will miss Selby. I was a classmate of his fathers for 11 years, and no that wasn't just high school:D, and I know proud he is of Justin. When you think about how big he is and how well he moves it is just mind boggling. If he is interested some college should look at him for the offensive line he would be an athletic freak on the oline.

Anyone who has seen either of the previous meetings betwenn these two teams could have seen this one coming. If Rose Hill get this kind of production from the supporting cast then they will be very difficult to beat. Excellent performances from Arthur, Bush, Barber, and Gambill. I think they combined to shot about 80% with Barber and Gambill hitting 5 3's. I think Gambill's sister has been working with him on his shot.

I was proud of the effort the Lady Royals gave last evening. Congratulations to the Lady Lions and good luck the rest of the way.

Anyone that thinks this is a close game is either blindly loyal toward Boyd or hates Rose Hill. Unless Zornes has a misguided youth up his sleeve this one is academic. The two regular season games were not accidents Boyd doesn't handle pressure well and Rose Hill presses well that is a bad combination.

What if Selby gets in foul trouble? Really when you start depending on foul trouble and trick plays your in desperation mode.

I don't know how much confidence you can gain by beating a team that is 3-25.

If they are true then they are not rumors. That is a contradictory in terms. "The bus" goes to Grayson and all points in between. Currently there are over 25 kids riding "the bus" yet no one complains. Why do you think that is?

I don't think Marla has had a Rose Hill game this year but I have always thought she did an excellent job.
