I couldn't agree more about Matt Thomas I wish he could have had a better senior year in both sports he certainly is deserving. But there is still plenty of time left and it's too early to start shoveling dirt on Ashland's grave just yet. Know one will ever know how much Rowe's departure hurt this team. Ashland's problems have been rebounding and shooting he would have helped them from a rebounding stand point but I'm not sure about shooting. Trying to be as objective as possible Ashland doesn't match up well with Rose Hill and that more than anything is the reason for the two lopsided scores this year. On the other hand Fairview matches up well with Rose Hill and both games have been respectable at the very least.

Rowan and Bath, with Bath winning Elliott and East, with Elliott winning Raceland and Greenup, with Raceland winning Rose Hill and Fairview, with Rose Hill winning Rose Hill vs. Greenup Bath vs. East Elliott vs. Rowan Raceland vs. Fairview Then: Rose Hill vs. East Elliott vs. Raceland Rose Hill vs. Elliott Rose Hill wins the 16th. Did you expect anything else. This is truely a balanced field. East could very easily be in the finals.

Biggs is a class guy and a very good coach. He cannot control the talent level which is down because of decisions made long before he arrived.

You'll have to pardon our excitement we just aren't as privilaged as you big city folk.

Either way it is just plain bad shooting.

BTW, Euton was 9-14 according to the paper.

I thought earlier this year Dakotah played alittle tight, which is understandable considering the pressure he was under. However, for the past 6 weeks he has been off the charts. I think he has shown a great deal more versatility.

Actually I'm not because he made the same comment after the last game between the two schools.

My point is that most high school coaches would love to have everyone shoot 8-17 especially when half those were 3's. Plus the announcer's team just shot 25%.:confused:

Interesting comment made during the Ashland post game show. It was said that Euton didn't shoot well going 8-17. Think about that for a miniute.

I listened to the radio on the way home. So I will try and relay what I remember. Euton 23 Jackson 20 Barber 12 Davis 7 Gambill 7 Arthur 2 K. Bush 1 Turner 2 Malloy 2 Team wise Ashland shot 25% and was 1-15 from the 3 point line. Rose Hill shot in the high 40's and hit 11 for 20 on 3's. Rose Hill out rebounded Ashland by 13. I think Ashland hit 21 ft's.

Well said. It wasn't that long ago that Rose Hill was on the other side of these scores and Mike Flynn was very kind to our kids. To me the Ashland kids just really looked deflated from the beginning. Very difficult situation right now.

I have know inside information or anyway of knowing for sure but I saw Cooksey in action last night and he sure seem to still have the passion. If and when the reigns are turned over to his oldest son the program will be in excellent hands.

I wasn't offended by the gesture just kind of suprised there was any reaction at all. I like uncle Jed have to disagree on the jersey pulling. In this case it was blatant and effected the play and it happened over and over again. It doesn't make them bad officials just I think they missed that one. With that said I have always thought Shane Ramey called a good game as does Greenhill. I don't remember the other official.

Jed, I was thinking about what you said. Not only was the Fairview fans classy last night but I remember the night we retired David's jersey and how gracious the Boyd Co. fans were that evening. We are very fortunate to live were we live.
