  1. Running clock for the Tigers. X kids needs to have fun during game. Lots of noise past few weeks causing distraction
  2. I’m not in the know of all the ins and outs of private schoool recruiting but with the big lineman that X seems to have every year, Wallace only needs 3 or 4 speedsters on each side of the ball. Did you see Tisdale last night (#7) - a speedster like that in a system like Wallace’s is difficult to stop. If Wallace can go find a small handful of speedsters it seems to me like the perfect fit. BG doesn’t always have the line but always has the speed X always has the line - so just go get the speed!
  3. Just got home. Best. Ugliest game I have seen in a while. Purples drop 2 different TD passes as well as a pick 6 that was called back. Three touchdowns erased! Of the three games we’ve played. We have had 7 TDs either called back or just simply blown. I don’t think I’ve seen that many - Purples need to fix that Big win that I am afraid will prove costly with the injury bug. Three different Purples went down for the count throughout game. Hoping they can recover Perhaps the worst 1st half the Purples has played in quite some time. Again. 3 negated TDs didn’t help anything. St X, for 2 weeks, plotted, planned and schemed how to stop Vito Tisdale. Dude still did his thing. I’m guessing more than 200 all purpose yards (3 TDS) I’ve said it for a few years now but he is truly the best player BGHS has ever had. Until you see him in person, you probably just won’t understand. 2nd half Purples caught a break or two with the refs. Not saying they were good or bad calls but 1in particular allowed Purples chance to get win (X called for roughing punter). Speaking of punting, Purples may have a D1 punter in super sophomore, Eli Burwash Hoping some healing can take place for Purples this week. We have 1 more tough game next Friday then we get 3 teams that Purples should be able to handle before heading into the end of the season gauntlet St X fans - easy for me to say cause it’s not my team but remember this statement, “It always quits raining.” Brighter days are ahead. Patience. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s easy to kick somebody when their down. Again, patience. Lots of Purples are now rooting for you guys. Wallace has to get some more players that will improve your team speed. I would bet the top 6 fastest guys on the field were all Purples. He will get it figured out Huge (ugly) win. We’ll take it Go Purples!
  4. 21 points left on field so far for BG. Unreal
  5. Just saw on Twitter about possible 30 minute delay on kickoff. Can someone confirm?
  6. Of course, as a Purples fan I am hoping St X begins their season 0-2 Regardless of outcome tonight, I am hoping X nation hangs in there with Coach Wallace and the team. I am sure he has had some sleepless nights from some questionable play calls a couple of weeks ago. Very uncharacteristic. Coach Wallace will adjust and find his groove (hopefully not tonight). Although BGHS is a public school and has limited resources compared to X, there’s really no words to describe how Coach Wallace and his leadership changed the landscape and DNA of Bowling Green High football. He will get things going! X family has always been classy. Hoping you guys have a great season. Patience is a virtue Possess it if you can Found seldom in a woman But never in a man X will be state champs in 6A..... soon
  7. I bet Coach Wallace at X and Spader at BG are tighter than banjos right about now!
  8. I bet Coach Wallace at St X and Spader at BG are tighter than banjos right about now!
  9. Absolutely. On 5th touchdown go for 2 to get it to 36. Begin getting starters out, ASAP. Healthier the kids are the better. Running clocks are not normally had late playoffs so enjoy the quick nights when you can
  10. Lots of short passes for BG as well as using 2 tight ends. I think other than who wins the turnover battle, the big hurdle for the Purples is, Can they get St X off the field? Long sustained drives with X o-Line can wear down a defense. If Purples can score 1 or 2 TDs early and get up on X, then the game will get interesting. Regardless of who you pick, I think most folks see this as a 4th quarter game. Go Purples
  11. Apology. Vito Tisdale is a junior that plays for the Bowling Green Purples. Will probably play safety and/or corner in college. He is athlete that plays both sides of ball at BGHS
  12. Roll Tide just hopped on the Vito wagon! As has Mississippi State. Before end of season he will have every school in top 25. Keep your head on straight young man. This is your chance!
  13. I knew you would chime in Dragonfire. Hope you are well. I know your not much for predictions, but what is your take on the St X BG game?
  14. In order for the Purples to pull it off Beau Bucannon, BG’s QB,needs to be the player of the game. St X defense will attempt to smuther Vito Tisdale. Coach Wallace knows what a special talent this kid is. Vito will get his yards but will be difficult. Purples will use their Tight Ends in a variety of ways. Again, this Friday night Bucannon needs to be the man. If he has what is considered a good game, I think Purples can do it. Lots of speed on both sides of the ball for BG So ironic that Wallace is going for 300 against the Purples. BGHS 31 St X 21
  15. This Friday night the Bowling Green Purples travel to Saint Xavier. This will be a very interesting game not only between the players on the field but with the two opposing coaches on each side line. For more than a decade Coach Kevin Wallace and Coach Mark Spader has worked together on how to stop teams on defense, as well as how to get the ball in the end zone on offense. This Friday night will be much different. Every single scheme the coaches has used from previous years will be put to the test by one another. It will be a classic cat and mouse game between two very knowledgeable coaches. They will both tell you that it is the players on the field that make up the wins but each of these men have invested their adult life into student athletes. Lots of emotion on the field between these two men that love and respect one another. Should be a classic
  16. Correction: Vito Tisdale with 125 yards rushing and 113 yards receiving. 2 TDS
  17. BG RB Vito Tisdale had 115 yards rushing (14 carries) with 1 rushing TD and 1 receiving TD (71 yard hook and ladder) 2 more TDS for Purples missed. This team is going to have to stop leaving points on the field. It will catch up with them. After first 5 minutes, BGHS opened up the playbook and began having fun. Team win tonight with several getting in on the action. Tisdale goes again for about 200 all purpose yards Good Win. QB, Beau Bucannon is really a good high school QB. He will play somewhere next year and will be productive St X up next. Lots of emotion connected with this upcoming game! Good win Purples
  18. Purples 7 PRP 0 End of First quarter Vito Tisdale with more than 100 yards rushing after first quarter with 1 TD PRP driving
  19. Friendly reminder. Tonight’s kickoff is at 6:30pm central time. Watch live: Stbntv.com
