This Friday night the Bowling Green Purples travel to Saint Xavier. This will be a very interesting game not only between the players on the field but with the two opposing coaches on each side line.

 

For more than a decade Coach Kevin Wallace and Coach Mark Spader has worked together on how to stop teams on defense, as well as how to get the ball in the end zone on offense. This Friday night will be much different.

 

Every single scheme the coaches has used from previous years will be put to the test by one another.

 

It will be a classic cat and mouse game between two very knowledgeable coaches.

 

They will both tell you that it is the players on the field that make up the wins but each of these men have invested their adult life into student athletes.

 

Lots of emotion on the field between these two men that love and respect one another. Should be a classic

I’m sure both coaches have came up with a few new wrinkles for this game. X has had two weeks to prepare so they should be ready.

It’ll be interesting for sure. But once that ball is kicked there will be no love loss between the two HCs. The big difference will be the fact that Coach Wallace knows personally the ins and outs of the BG program, which could prove to be very beneficial in game planning.

St. X definitely has the edge here. I think their OL/DL are going to cause a lot of problems for Bowling Green. And Coach Wallace knows the Bowling Green team inside and out obviously. He also knows the coaches and system.

 

Coach Wallace was spotted at the EL Donaldson stadium Friday night to personally scout his old squad. I will heading up to Louisville Friday unless something major pops up. We'll see what happens. BG better bring its A game for sure.
