I think South has played the better ball the last three weeks. Hopefully, the Hounds can regain the mojo they had in the Knox Central game back in January.

Hounds will live to play another day but they won't be hoisting a district trophy. Cards have too much talent and will take this one. GRC will have to play well to win this one, though. I believe they'll do just that.

We play Friday evening against Matthew Cromer , J.J. Ramey , Ryan Anders & the South Laurel Cardinals. Goldie, you know what a tough opponent they can be. We have our hands FULL!!!

Final last night from Corbin in the 50th District semifinal round. Taylor finished with 30 points and a boatload of boards. He was 16-16 from the FT line. Corbin was 25-28 from the line. I want to give a shout out to Whitley County senior Corey Johnson. He finished with, I believe, 31 points to close out his career. The young man gave it his all. He left his blood(literally) out on the floor last night. A bad cut over his eye couldn't keep him out for good, though. The young man is one of the best long-distance shooters I've seen in many years. He doesn't hesitate to pull up from 35 ft. What a tremendous shooter and competitor. Corey, it has been such a pleasure watching you play. I was on my feet applauding when you went out late in the game. I wish you the best in everything you do in life. I'm sure you'll be a success in whatever you do!!!

I think we(the Cards) should win by at least 10, but I think this is a dangerous game. Paris has been playing well of late. Having said that, I'm confident the Cards will take care of business.

Where's the top of the sun??? After last year's GAE, I am so into eclipses now. Last week, there was a partial solar eclipse that could be viewed in parts of the southern hemisphere. This image was captured off the coast of Uruguay, overlooking Buenos Aires, Argentina. This was near the end of the eclipse.

Appreciate your support. It's gonna be a tough road to get to Rupp. Three teams- North Laurel, Knox Central, and South Laurel all stand in the way and all are playing better ball than we are right now. I'm hoping maybe LCA can pull the upset and win the 11th. We beat LCA early in the year. Of course they are a much better team now than they were then.

I know you have been a big supporter of our team and we very much appreciate it. Believe me, it hasn't gone unnoticed. We play the 14th region(Knott Central is the favorite) and then the 11th.
