  1. That Tilghman team had struggled mightly all year until the last game of the regular season when they completely revamped the offense to run the wildcat, which proved to be just the spark it needed to completely turn things around. Ironically, they played horribly on offense in the title game, but a stout defense led by three interceptions from current UK starting linebacker Josh Forrest made the difference in defeating Somerset.
  2. This one all hinges on which McCracken team decides to show up- The one that gets out to an early quick start and sets the pace with its speed and athleticism could very well win. On the other hand, the one that starts slow and gets senseless penalties for dancing in the endzone will lose.
  3. KY is definitely light years ahead of where they have been- but you would never know it by watching this game. I think unfortunately their youth and immaturity shows up from time to time, like the LSU game and this one. That being said, they must learn from this one and grow from it. I believe that LSU at LSU was a tall order even if they had played well, but Missouri was a very winnable game and they just flat layed down from the first snap. I'm not ready to burn the house down just yet..............
  4. The guys up front very seldom receive any credit so I'll say it again. Heck my old out of shape butt could have ran wild thru the holes they were making!
  5. The line was definitely the difference maker- Bright is a good running back but he literally had holes he could walk through untouched
  6. Should of thought about that with a little more accuracy, It was late in 08-09 I believe they had the tandem of Elam and Quarles (sp?). Those two were definitely game changers
  7. If Russellville was back to where they were in the early 2010's, it would be a fight. But right now I don't see them being a serious threat to the Cardinals. Mayfield 35-10
  8. PT finally clicking in. One of the states toughest schedules paying off in district play.
  9. Latest news is the weed belongs to Kiffin. Reportedly he smokes quite a bit of it before planning out the week's offense.
  10. PT should not get tripped up yet, their game is improving 42-10
  11. If you are talking HS alone, like the post said, Joe Casey hands down. Pinner was 25 years old. Baker was good, but did not play a schedule like some of the others. Many of the older generation claim Sonny Collins. I have seen in person Casey and Harris, as well as played against Baker. They are all great running backs, but only Casey was a USA Today first-team All-American. Joe Casey had break-away speed, but could also straight up run you and your teammate over if needed.
  12. Paducah Tilghman played Niceville Florida in 1991 in front of 9000 fans. The quarterback for PT was Billy Jack Haskins, Mr. KY Football 1992, the son of McCracken County coach Jack Haskins. Tilghman lost the game but was later rewarded the victory after it was found that Not-so-Niceville employed the help of some ineligible players. The result was recorded as a 1-0 forfeit victory for PT
  13. Graves is completely one-dimensional, and regardless what problems you think you have with your defense, you should handle Graves easily-
  14. UK played their worst offensive game of the year- And still came away with an SEC win I'll take that as an improvement I believe Towles performance was an anomaly and we will see a typical good performance next week.
  15. Hendo will easily beat Marshall and probably Daviess as well, but the McCracken game they will lose by way more than 2 scores, regardless of who they have back-
  16. Other than PT's one scoring pass, both teams were completely lackluster in the first half. After the half PT made some good adjustments on both the offense and defense that made things more interesting. Hendos big tackle Mason Wolfe was completely stufiing the right side all night so PT brought up help on that side to prevent Hendo from turning the corner. On offense PT used a combination of short quick passes underneath the defense and a steady dose of counter running plays to keep the Hendo defense frustrated and guessing who had the ball. On one play I saw Hendo tackle three different PT players. PT is still undermanned, undersized, and overmatched, but they are showing steady improvement and growth.
  17. Not to steal anything away from Mayfield, but yet another complete lackluster performance from Marshall- When, if ever will this school administration figure out that hiring "another good old boy" for coach is not the answer? It is just a shame that a school that big cannot field a quality product.
