Madisonville may be a bit of an enigma at this point in the season. They got hammered early in the year by some very good teams but bounced back last week and hammered Union co. So is this a Dr.Jekyll / Mr. Hyde team, or are they just now getting things figured out? Last year the Maroons had a huge front line that gave PT fits all night but I believe many of them graduated so how will that play into the outcome? PT as well is still answering questions about their identity, they have not played a quality four quarters yet. They have showed ability to move the chains and put up points, but on other times they falter. The line appears to be the key factor in how their game plan goes. So I guess both teams have more questions than answers, but I am going to go with PT as their offense has more breakaway capability on any given play. PT 29-14

Tilghman once again has some very dynamic athletes whom if they can get into open space, makes things happen. PT routinely puts players in the next level, and that is the reason the PT faithful remain optimistic. They are always a factor in state at track, and put many of those athletes on the football field. We have a good qb, a good stable of rb's, and some good wr's. However, our undersized line on both o and d has a long ways to go, and our defense has been way inconsistent. When you lose the battle in the trenches, not a whole lot else matters.

Makes me scratch my head on the PT loss to Mayfield Apples to oranges

I think Rogers finally has PT heading back in the right direction. We have several seniors, I believe 21, but only 9 of those return from last years team. Rogers has been "recruiting the halls" and nearly doubled our roster from last year. We have been on a terrible run in this series to the point it has lost some of its luster, however I believe this could be our year to turn things around. It is hard for me to get a good read on the Cardinals yet because of their opponents, but they took care of business, and I know they will not beat themselves. Last week we got beat by a much bigger and better Central Hardin team, but the only thing I had a real question about was our kicking game. If we have cleared up that issue, then the Big Blue will be prepared to give the redbirds a game this series deserves again. So I will take PT at home by a bump. PT 23 Mayfield 21

Still way too early in the season for anyone to be declaring greatness-

PT was very young, and very small last year. They have shown a good bit of both growth and maturity this year. They are still small in the trenches but are learning to optimize their speed. I am not saying we are anywhere where we need to be, but we are markedly improved.

PT is a far cry better this year than last. That said we still have improvements to be made and our still small. If we can handle the los, I like our chances, if not ???? I will go with PT at home in a close one. PT 23-21

They are really good at wardrobe changes

PT dominated the ground game, kept the chains moving and devoured the clock from the 2nd quarter on. Defensively they made stops when they needed and kept MCs offense off the field.

Excellent post We get on here and compare this team to that team and sometimes we forget that the real gain is the friendships formed and life lessons learned will carry with you long after the wins and losses are forgotten.

FC seems to always have that one break away type athlete that is a danger to get one or two on his own, but with FC having yet another new coach this year I would have to suspect it to be a rebuilding year. Mayfield 42-13
