  1. Sounds like a typical NCC, St. Henry match.... There's allways something
  2. The St. Henry deal is an alumni only event.
  3. Nate Durrough and Ian Manahan scored for St. Henry. That is what I was told, wasn't there in person.
  4. Kentucky used to have the same rule but I believe they dropped it a few years ago.
  5. Austin Langen from St. Henry has committed to play at Franklin College (IN)
  6. Both of my kids have been blessed to win Championships. We were talking about this question yesterday and both said it is a feeling you can not describe. I can say as a parent, I have never seen them happier than when they were holding those trophies! Pure joy!
  7. Ok, I'll bite. Yes, I am saying that no St Henry player taunted the crazies. And since you have no clue who I am, I dont see how you can doubt my guarentee that I had a better vantage point than you did. All I can say is, that unless you were on the field, your view wasn't as good as mine.
  8. And I stand by the statement I made. I was there also and I can guarantee you I had a much better perspective of what was going on than you did.
  9. Now you are saying the St Henry boys taunted the fans? Hold on just a minute, I am not going to sit here and let you make that statement. The instances that occurred were players firing up the St. Henry student section or responding to a big moment in the game. Never did I see any taunting of the Cov Cath fans by a Crusader. I have sat here and taken the St. Henry bashing for as long as I can. There is so much more that needs to be said but I'm going to stop now before I get myself in trouble.....
  10. $10 and no student or Senior rate is absolutely ridiculous! I hope the Cru fans will bite the bullitt and come out and support the team because you just can't dismiss support like this....https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3i3uMQpoogA
  11. Absolutely W2848! They are kids, you have to remember that. But that being said, I have been of the opinion for quite a while that the "crazies" are totally out of control. I'm not just talking about last night or against St Henry. Also, to the poster who made a comment about club soccer, St Henry has a number of boys who play at the "elite" level. Furthermore, I don't think there is one player on the team who is not in a club system. Yes, they have heart, but they have skill also.
  12. It seems that the guys announcing the game had no idea what anyone's name was either. If you are going to host regional games you should put someone in the booth that wants to be there and will take the time to look at a roster and announce the kids names! The announcer last night sounded like he would rather be anyplace other than where he was. Thanks WatThe for mentioning the St Henry boys. #2 is Jonathan Baeten, 13 is Austin Langen, 11 is Adam Lannon and 16 is Karlan Wesdorp. All four had excellent games last night.
  13. The chippy play from HC was constant from practically the kick off. Not being a homer, just telling it like it is. Pure luck that someone wasn't seriously hurt.
  14. They can not schedule games to early on Saturday as it is an ACT test date.
  15. I say Cov Cath wins, but if the Dixie keeper plays like he did the other night..... Could be interesting.
  16. What' the big deal? Teams can add games during the season if they have available dates.
  17. Great game for the Crusaders, that's all there is to say, they are a very good team and they showed it tonight. It's just really unfortunate that the refereeing was so poor.
  18. Glad to see I started such a great conversation about what exactly an assist is........ And I don't know Billy or his mom either.
  19. Wondering what the "official" definition of an assist is. It seemed to be that there should have been an assist on the second St Henry goal but one wasn't credited. Just when I think I have things figured out! Nice win for the Cru tonight hopefully things are beginning to come together for them, they are much more talented than their early results have shown.
  20. And another thing I didn't understand, the break was 10 minutes long. I have seen a lot of soccer over the years and many "water breaks" and I have never seen one like the one I saw this morning! I tried to go to the KHSAA site and find the rules but it just gave me a headache so I gave up.
  21. I will say, and I will try to put this nicely, the ref's were a bit "confused" many times....
  22. The heat index on the field was taken at the half and it was above 95 degrees. That made the "hydration break" mandatory per state rules. I don't ever remember seeing teams change sides after one though.
