The Bluegrass schedules are out and this year they let the teams decide if they were an A, B, or C. What's interesting is that Conner, Highlands, St Henry, Campbell County, and Bishop Brossart decided to play in A while Ryle, NCC, Dixie and Simon Kenton chose to be in B.

Ryle has 2 teams in B? I did not see Cooper listed?

As Hoops mentioned, Ryle has 2 teams in Group B. I believe that each year they split up their Varsity squad and also throw in some of their younger players that are being looked at for the Varsity squad, I have also heard that they also use BGSG as part of their tryout process.

 

I would not read anything into them not playing in Group A.

Playing in B might just be the confidence booster some teams need.

It could also back fire if you can't find a way to win.

Why isn't CovCath playing? Do they usually?

I don't believe they have ever played in it. Can't answer as to why they don't but most teams use it as supplemental for tryouts and I'm guessing CCH has enough numbers of players that they can hold intra-squad scrimmages and gain the same knowledge.

I have yet to see CCH play in the BGSG.

I'm excited for my boys b/c it was a surprise invitation after try-outs today as they are only 8th graders going w/ the JV. That being said, I was looking forward to a weekend of nothingness and now we have a bit of travelling to do. They are super pumped, so it will be worth it.

Thank you, but they are Freshman age wise, not grade wise, so it is just like a lot of guys in NKY, no real big deal. They were pumped just to get to play with a couple of kids from their club team this weekend and to wear the Highlands uniform for the first time.

I'm guessing that traffic and parking are going to be a nightmare. Masterson Station isn't exactly an easy place to get out of.
