Bluegrass schedules are out

Thank you, but they are Freshman age wise, not grade wise, so it is just like a lot of guys in NKY, no real big deal. They were pumped just to get to play with a couple of kids from their club team this weekend and to wear the Highlands uniform for the first time.

Good for them!!!

Just an FYI.... For the JV teams they modify the KHSAA rules a little, they do not allow Juniors to play in the BGSG matches so most of the kids will be within a year or two of each other.

I'm guessing that traffic and parking are going to be a nightmare. Masterson Station isn't exactly an easy place to get out of.

I will let you draw your own conclusion....

100+ HS Boys teams at one location, each playing 3 matches between Friday evening and early Sunday afternoon.

I have tried to figure out why every match is scheduled 90 minutes apart throughout the weekend, if they would just stagger the start times (say every 30 minutes) it would go a long way towards improving both the parking and traffic flow.... but what do I know.

Hope you have your Highlands gear ready! Go Birds!

Boone plays Dunbar and Daviess County on Saturday. Had a game scheduled for Sunday morning but Boone has a policy against playing on Sunday so it is a two game weekend for Boone. They are playing in the A level.

I'm heading down to take in the HHS Boys games at 800 and 930 on fields MST-03 and MST-14.

HOW MANY FIELDS ARE AT THIS PLACE?????

Google maps doesn't show anything.

Getting there by 7 seem appropriate?

I believe they have 15.

Getting there by 7:00 is plenty early, 8:00 is the first time slot of the day so you should have no issues with parking.

AllenR.... Here is a link to the Field Layout.

THANKS!

Wow, those are packed in there.

There obviously aren't stands for spectators, so everyone will be lined up all around the field. Looks like it will be a real chore trying to take pictures.

I may need to rethink this.

Those four in the back right are perched way up on a hill and provide cool views of the rest of the park. Also, funny how many more fields they can jam in that joint when they are using 6v6 and 8v8 fields in addition to just the 11v11 versions.

THANKS!

Just wait until you have to leave....we were down there for a couple of KPL games this past year. I do not like this facility. Tons of fields, awful logistics. Also, traffic into the facility can be really bad. Shouldn't affect you on the way down, but the way back will take awhile.

I read that. Like I said, it really isn't a huge accomplishment, just a very cool surprise for them.

I do not think you will have any trouble finding a place to take pics. The layout is actually a little misleading in terms of space around the fields, most are pretty spread out.

As MTGL mentions, the map does not take into account the terrain either. Our first one is on #10 , I am giving myself an extra 5 minutes just to climb the slope.

I still think it is a pretty big accomplishment.... from their perspective it is probably really cool because they are getting to play High School Soccer sooner than anticipated and I am sure it will also be a nice confidence boost as well.

I wish them all the best. I hope Boone boys have a nice season. I will be looking for oldgrappler's updates.
