Big Matches this Week (9/15)

Featured Replies

Tuesday we have Cooper at Ryle for district bragging rights. CCH at Highlands on paper doesn't look to be that close but this fixture always seem to be competitive. Thursday there is Ryle vs St. Henry and Boone vs CCH. Conner at Dixie both trying to stay in the conversation while Ryle played to a tie at NCC and needs a couple of results to stay near the top of the region. The ninth region really takes shape after this week. Now if we could get that Cooper vs CCH game rescheduled :irked: I would suggest that CCH drops East Central and Cooper drop Calvary and they play on October 4th.

NCC travels to Pendery Park on Wednesday for a 5pm match against Bishop Brossart in an All A Sectional. The winner travels to the state tournament the following weekend in Elizabethtown, KY.

Exciting week for BGP soccer fans!

Stay tuned and keep posting results!

Brossart v St. Henry just added for Friday night @ St. Henry.

You can do that? You can just add games during the week? I wonder if everyone knew that? Huh!

What' the big deal? Teams can add games during the season if they have available dates.

I was being facetious. All the games being cancelled earlier this year, and not being made up. Like you said "What's the big deal?" Seems like they could fit them in.

I know that Cooper has tried to re-schedule the CCH match but open dates are an issue. St Henry is one of the teams Cooper has reached out to because of cancellations from teams Cooper was suppose to play and also because St Henry has some open dates, they have not worked out anything yet.

At the moment, the dates that Cooper has available for matches don't work for other schools, including, I believe, St. Henry.

I know that from the beginning, the CCH match was not likely to be re-scheduled, there was not a Tues, Thur, or Sat that they were both open.

Not sure who else they have reached out to beyond St Henry, I do know that they asked them about 9/20, or 9/23... both were open dates for St Henry.

Not sure about 9/20 but 9/23 is at Male, which has been on the St. Henry schedule since the start of the season.

The Louisville Male game is actually on the 30th. 20th and 23rd are both open dates for St. Henry.

Is there a rule against Sunday games in KY?

I think it is more of a Catholic thing.......

I thought that was fish on Fridays.
