There's good football teams in the upper 3 classes. There's usually not a decent team in the All A. Thus football is tougher. But keep telling yourself that its not.

Ky high school basketball will never and should never be classified. This guy is never playing D 1 so he should stay put. Ive seen it a thousand times.

The 92 regular season Highlands covcath game was no where near the blow out you describe. It was back and forth. Tied at 21. Covcath scored to go up 28-21. Stopped Highlands for the first time and scored again to make it. 35-21. After a Highlands turnover Covcath added a garbage Td to close it out 42-21. We left knowing we would win the rematch by pressing the receivers at the line and pressuring the Qb. Highlands was just the bigger, stronger, tougher, more physical team. Huge offensive and Dline. Perhaps the schools biggest ever. Covcath was good too. Both teams were as good as anyone in Ohio that year.

No way he's he's permitted to play at Covcath if the Khsaa has any stones whatsoever. The transfer is outside the spirit of the rules.

I know college coaches watch club. My point is represent your school and your classmates. As few of people as there are at high school games, go watch a college game. Theres even less fans.

Most high school age club teams sit out the Fall season. Your daughter would rather sit out and play 7 club games than represent her school? Sounds like uncertainty on playing time to me.

I don't know the girl at all. I just place a significantly higher value on playing for your school than playing club to get noticed.

Another bad decision. No one outside her club team cares about her club team. And the games i saw, she never dominated. Not enough better than anyone to make anyone saw wow.

Amen. I think if you want to play and love the sport, great. Just don't count on it as your means to college.

Hooray! The 9th region means more and you don't even get a ring.

Take your traveling club and gas money and put it in a 529 plan. You'll have more money for college that way than you'll ever receive from directional U.

My kids play for fun. As someone who played small college sports its not for everyone. If youre not going D1 full scholarship and need your school paid for, you are wasting your time. Its a full time job with very little reward or benefit. Small college sports aren't a picnic. Probably had more fun in the adult rec leagues.

Ft. Thomas needs a youth volleyball league that starts in 2nd and 3rd grade. Thats why the catholic schools are so much further ahead.

Is Covcath still doing wrestling? I know they didn't fare well last season.

They're playing club only and not school, because they think its going to get them a scholarship. They can get that same $750 partial to Mt St Joe or IUPUI playing for the high school team. All 3 of my kids play club sports too, but I still think its just a money grab. And winning those touneys has no real value IMO.

No one cares who wins the club games. No one is going pro. Play for your school or you're a self absorbed individual.

I don't think we can learn much about them with that schedule. Football season is better when Boyle is good, but the schedule doesn't pose much challenge.
