Collins 62 Anderson County 59
khsaafanatic replied to 16thBBall Fan's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Collins started two freshmen and their first guard off the bench was a freshmen. Marcellus Vail had 15, Dayvion McKnight had 13, and Tyson Turner had 2, but played around half the game in a hostile environment. The future is brighter at Collins than any other school in the region. -

If someone says Jason Burns, this thread will explode. -

Did Scott Hundley score 1,000 at both Dunbar and Scott County? -
Collins 63 Shelby County 61 (OT)
khsaafanatic replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I'll say this, Shelby has to be the best 3 win team in the state. They're athletic and attack the basket hard. -
You sound like the kid at school that's mad because the teacher got on him for something, but didn't see another kid do the same thing. Nobody likes that kid.

Pretty sure Penny is a senior. Nevermind, I stand corrected, had to look it up myself. Seems like he's been good forever. -

I guess there won't be any drama this week with the rankings! -

Collins was in complete control the entire game after the first quarter. -

Also, I didn't realize The PG collins had been starting all year was a freshmen. Then they pulled a freshmen off the bench who had 12 points for them last night. I guess Spencer isn't the only team with talented young players. -

Dominique Turner, Collins best player only played about 5 minutes, sat out the entire 2nd half with the flu. -

South Oldham 81 Anderson County 70
khsaafanatic replied to True blue (and gold)'s topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I've been saying this since pre-season rankings came out, Gunner Gillis did ALL the dirty work for them last year. Can't replace his production. Was not always filling up the box score, but he was the catalyst for them. He rebounded like crazy for them. -
Grant County 77 Williamstown 74
khsaafanatic replied to SnottieDrippen's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Seems strange because over the years Grant County has seen themselves as way above Williamstown. Wouldn't expect them to see this as a big win. -

Scoreboard says Collins went on the road and smacked a good Franklin County team last night. -
Let's just say this. Bernie has been at the helm as the 8th Region Assigner for awhile now......and the officiating has been really bad in the 8th Region for awhile now.

Grant County 67 Ryle 61 (OT)
khsaafanatic replied to Walter's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I by no means am a Grant County fan, but Ryle was probably fouling more if the count was 9 to 1. It's not the refs job to even up the count if one team is fouling more than the other. It doesn't have to be equal. -
Simon Kenton JC Hawkins Committed
khsaafanatic replied to UK#1fanisback's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
What position will he play in college? I know he has to play PG at SK by default, probably more of a 3 though. -

The players and fans definitely were too fond of Breeden's coaching style. -
I'm gonna go ahead and assume you're trying to be funny. Bad attempt.

Not sure why people are saying this is a bad hire. From what I know about TJ, he has a heavier football background than he does basketball. He played QB at Union College and was an assistant coach for several years. He has been in charge of the weight lifting program for the basketball team for awhile now. He'll definitely have the football team committed to that, unlike former staffs have.

Who will be 11th Region contenders for 16-17?
khsaafanatic replied to Sniper1's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
The new school won't have any sports teams. The students at that school will still be playing for Scott County.
