Scott County teams from 98-00 used to crush some teams. Having back to back Mr. Basketballs in Rick Jones and Scott Hundley helped their cause.

South Oldham's defense is not even close to the best in the region.

It amazes me that the 8th region officials allow the game to get so physical. I'm all for tough play, but when players are getting hit in the face, shoved, thrown to the ground, they have to step up and do something. It's happened in multiple postseason games I've seen so far.

Game is tonight at Anderson County. Could be hard for Collins to win at Anderson. Both teams seem to be playing well at the right time. I've got Collins by 3 in a low scoring affair. Thoughts?

Gotta be a huge sigh of relief out of Warsaw since Jon Jones is returning as coach. Any word how much longer he is going to coach and who a possible replacement could be? Seems like he may have given it up after last year if there was someone he felt comfortable with taking over waiting in the wings.

Owen started 4 juniors and a sophomore last year. Plus, the first two off the bench were sophomores. Add in another year of experience and this could be the group that finally gets the Rebels over the hump.

1) I'm not sure that most coaches are PE teachers. 2) I'm not a PE teacher, but I do know that PE teachers have as much down time during the day as every other teacher in the building, usually one planning period. 3) I think your notion of what a PE teacher is very outdated. 4) Your statement basically said that Duvall doesn't take his profession as a PE teacher seriously.

If McDonald and Toftness are hitting, then Owen will be a tough out. Everyone knows about Carson, but those two can open up the floor for him and vice versa.

This is what drives me crazy about most fans. If the team plays well, the coach has nothing to do with it. If the team plays poorly, it's all the coach's fault.

As for an on ball defender, Allen Warford from Anderson County (2010) was as good as I've seen taking opposing point guards out of the game.

Not discrediting the starters Owen lost, but I'm willing to bet that this team will be better this year. They have a strong junior class.

Owen and Gallatin has been a huge rivalry since 2006. Both schools have had good success and are usually the top two "A" schools in the 8th.

Carson Williams will have something to say about that.
