You are right did not see that 2nd score. I have seen Spencer multiple times this year and you are sadly mistaken if you think they are that much better than Walton. All about matchups in high school ball and Spencer is much better matchup for Walton.

Throw 4-8 in a hat and can't go wrong. Cardsrule, it has been a while since Spencer played South but I believe Spencer got a beat down by them as well. South is a terrible match up for Walton as was evident tonight.

I think the score of them beating Trimble by 50 in the all A is a little more accurate. Heard it was just one of those games for WV, no excuses need to be made but heard if you were there you would understand.

In all fairness, Wtown did not get thumped by Gallatin in the all A. Wtown had over a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and decided to start playing stall ball which backfired and Gallatin made a crazy comeback to win.

Walton looks to have one of the youngest coaching staffs around along with some of the youngest talent, exciting times ahead for the Bearcats if they keep on this road.

Bearcats kept a comfortable margin the whole second half to capture the 4th All A championship in school history.

They played SK about a month ago and I know they have a lot of young sophomores getting their feet wet with varsity. I don't think they have any of the top 4 on their schedule so was wondering if anyone has seen WV recently and has seen the top 4 to see how far the gap is at this point.

Walton Verona will play Gallatin Co in finals of 8th all A on Saturday at WV. Can WV compete with the top 4 in the 8th at this point? Seems like they don't get much talk and just put a running clock on a hot Eminence team in the 3rd quarter.

Williamstown and Gallatin have a couple of the best guards in the region in Stanley and Wilson, Walton Verona has one of the best bigs in Miles. I think those 3 schools would be very competitive with top teams in the 8th. If Walton Verona had a guard like Stanley or Wilson I would put them right there at the top but I think that is their missing piece.

I believe pre season 8th region all A coaches ranking had Gallatin, Williamstown, Eminence and Owen as top 4. Walton Verona has beat Gallatin, Eminence and Owen but has yet to play Williamstown so it seems Walton Verona was overlooked prior to season start.

This should be a great tournament this upcoming week at Walton Verona. Really think you could pick a name from a hat and not go wrong. I think the favorites are Gallatin, Williamstown, Walton Verona (home court). Would not be surprised one bit to see Owen or Eminence knock off Walton Verona (no sure winner over a capable Trimble team) in the 2nd round. Looking forward to results of this tournament, thoughts?

Was wondering if I am just missing the 8th region recap/rankings or if we do not have anyone covering the 8th? It seems like all other NKY regions are covered pretty well, would like to know what things are looking like in the 8th since we have a lot of teams in the 8th that play teams in the 9th and 10th regularly.

I believe he is a basketball only kid, comes off the bench in JV. Not sure if he even plays on varsity, if so he does not get minutes in normal action.
