Robinson being out with torn ACL hurts SK but I am sure they are not making excuses since WV is also missing 6'10 Miles this year. I think you know what you are getting from Kelch, Niece, Kitchens for SK and Stanley/Clinkenbeard/Pardee for WV. This may come down to which of the others step up, Hensley, Davis, Perry for SK and Lay, Grubbs, Jones, Shazier for WV.

They have beaten Mercer, Campbell and Mayfield in this top 20. They have lost to Doss, Ballard, and LCA all ranked in front of them. Looks pretty good to me. Their other 2 losses are against Oldham Co who is solid and a glorified Juco team from Atlanta. They also have a couple other nice wins from the KOB in Ensworth and Palmetto.

They lost 1 game in KOB, playing through the losers bracket got them playing Ensworth of Nashville, Palmetto FL and Mercer County with Faulkner who is D1. You realize after they lost the 1st game they kept playing teams who were winning after their first game as well right?? Also, Cantrall and Litkenhous both make ratings off of SOS and wins in KY. Both ratings have WV above Collins but to each his own...

Yeah WV schedule is pretty weak, King of the Bluegrass, Lex Cath tournament and all the way to the all A state championship. Should have scheduled tougher teams than Ballard, Mercer County, Ensworth Tenn (Powerhouse), Oldham County, Campbell County, Doss, Pendelton County, Mayfield, Lexington Christian. Soft. And remember we are talking and all A public school of 500 kids. Shame on them for pounding Trimble, Grant, Lloyd, St. Henry, Williamstown who are all either in their district or conference and had to be played.

5th straight running clock for WV, meeting with South Oldham on Tuesday should be a good one.

WV has been on a tear since the all A final. Not stellar competition but doing what they should to each team. They have mercy ruled Williamstown, Grant Co, Trimble Co and Lloyd the past 4 games. You would think Grant and Lloyd should have played closer than mercy rule but this WV team looks like they are on a mission. One loss since December, all A state final. -

How impressive is Brannen coaching Walton Verona to the all A state championship without having their 6'10 center touch the floor? -

Exactly why I brought up the point of Campbell's big 3 playing well, kind of irrelevant the amount of days off for either team when Campbell's best players all had solid games- doesn't look like the quick turnaround affected them at all. -

May be splitting hairs here but unless there has been an extra day added to a week not sure how WV being off Thur/Fri equals 3 days of rest? Campbell's big 3 had solid games, looks to me like WV took one of Campbell's better shots and still won at Campbell. Day, Clos and Jolly shot a combined 22/36 and Jolly was 3/5 from 3. -

It's a bummer we will never fully know what this team could have been. With 6'10 Miles out for the year, Stanley and him never started a game together at WV. Really impressive that they have beaten Simon Kenton, won the 8th All A and beat Campbell all without Miles. -
Solid showing for the Bearcats against a top team in the 10th. WV has beaten Pendleton and Campbell this year.

Niece and Conley are putting together impressive seasons for teams that can compete for a region title. Nothing against the others but if they played at SK or even Spencer most would be JV only players. There is a good gap between the 2 at the top and the rest. -

Miles is having surgery next week to repair torn labrum, will not return until senior year. -

What makes you think clear favorite? WV played at Oldham without Miles and were up 7 with 2 minutes left before Oldham went on 9-0 run to win by 2. -

Remember this WV team beat Anderson by 20 without Miles and was up 7 with 2 minutes on Oldham without him, they still have some horses just tougher sledding. -

Miles hasnt started a game in over a month. They have started Stanley, Lay, Clinkenbeard, Grubbs and Pardee. -

Yes Allen played, didn't look sick today. I am guessing these refs were from Pendeltons region? That was tough to watch and not see the bias for Pendelton, they protected Allen well today.
