Walton Verona will be playing Lexington Christian at 9am this Wed Regents Hall on NKU campus. I assume Walton will still be without Stanley but they had a nice showing at Lex Cath last week I heard. WV also plays later in the day but not sure who they play.

Walton Verona beat Lafayette by 2 and West Jessamine by around 5. Stanley still on the bench, guessing we will not see him in summer ball.

6'7 kid from Europe? Interesting, why is he not currently with team? When is he coming? Why does WV administration have no idea? Also, Kelch is a very solid big man but didn't he have trouble with with Miles in District tournament which was one of the reasons SK struggled throughout most of the game?

Fox is not eligible to play next year from all sources I have heard that are in the know. There has been no mention of him being at WV either.

I am guessing the word is finally out that Stanley to Walton Verona is official? It definitely makes them frontrunners in the All A but Lexington Christian had some very good young players if I recall last year. They still have to prove they can play with and BEAT the top dogs in the 8th before I look into it too much but with Miles, Clinkenbeard, Stanley, Lay and Jones that is a top notch first 5. Then you add in Pardee, Grubbs, Shazier and their backup 6'8 center Brook and they have talented depth as well.

Williamstowns old coach is not an assistant at Walton and the job is still currently posted.

I meant higher profile than a local assistant looking to land first varsity job at a small all A school.

I am sure other 8 region teams wish he was gone but has one more year... heck of a player.

Any local assistants or assistants at Williamstown that could potentially get this? I am pretty sure they return Stanley and maybe Fox, would not be a bad situation to walk into for a first year coach at a small school like Williamstown. Or with that talent maybe they can lure someone with a little higher profile?

Roddy is one of the top educators in the school, teaches AP classes along with all the coaching he does. Stand up guy.

There are only 2 on staff that would even go after it right? Schumate and Stainforth?

Anyone know if baseball is still in play or strictly basketball at WKU?

Yes SK beat WV the first week of December. I would say the district tournament is a little more accurate than first week of December. Like I said, SK loses ALOT more than WV does and WV has some really nice young pieces coming up as well. Should be a very good district next year.

So SK loses Hawkins and Sergent (24ppg combined) and WV loses Anderson/Moran (10ppg combined) and at one point in the District tournament WV was up by about 20 points before SK made a comeback. Seems like SK has a lot more to replace than WV does and SK finished last place in district with a first round loss.

Heck of a game by the young Bearcats down 1 with about 7 minutes to play and props to South for always hitting a big shot when they needed one. WV has been playing really good basketball as of late and I beleive we watched 2 of the top 3 teams in the region tonight play in the first round.

How were the out of region refs for the first night? Allow some physicality or did they call it pretty tight?

I am torn on this one, my thoughts before hand was that Wtown would be a tough out on their home floor but the more I think back to their stumble in the all A makes me wonder if they will play tight in this one as well... I will take Williamstown by less than 5.

Spencer loses 2 of top 3 scorers on this team, kept hearing rumblings about how they were better than Walton Verona this year. I watched WV last night and Spencer tonight, give me Walton. Also, Walton does not lose any major contributors after this year is over.

We could see two Public All A schools in the championship of this district that has 2 schools with close to 1500 kids, would have to think that would be the first time this district has seen that if so.

Believe Lay was at Cov Cath his freshmen year?
