Let's hope...school is a mess right now according to many, including the article on the school's audit. If/when it becomes official hope Coach Johnson does well.

Coach Ligon got a raw deal. However, the information I have received, Coach Allen made his own bed with his actions. It does have athletes but desirable? The school has had some major issues with an audit so I'm not sure how "desirable" a job it is with all things included.

I very easily could have been misinformed. I hope Coach Daniel well but based on what has happened to previous coaches and teachers it is hard to have a lot of confidence in the Superintendent and the administration at Montgomery Co.

Anyone who has paid attention knows what has gone on over there...both athletically and within the school system.

Have they named a coach yet?

The thing I don't understand is why don't they do anything in the summer? Programs fall way behind when there is no summer basketball. That is a free month of hoops...

My point was the parents seem to have found someone that can meet their needs. Any coach needs to be established for there to be any continuity. As long as that Superintendent is there no telling what will happen.

I fully expect a loud thud from Mt Sterling this season. I mean no disrespect to coach Daniel but it's obvious that a once solid program is heading in the wrong direction. Only four applicants for the job. None of which had any head coaching experience.

The word is the Hopkinsville coach interviewed but withdrew his name. Others I have heard are Jaron Brown and Tommy Johnson who have interviewed.

I posted earlier that the school got audited`and got raked over the coals. I'm talking about the current administration. Therefore, there is a lot more going on than just looking for a coach. There was an article in the paper that was pretty revealing on the issues they were having. It will be interesting how it works itself out.

It is good to see people be rewarded with loyalty.

He's a good player. LWC, IMO, is a perfect fit for him.

That's probably a good point. I wasn't aware of that. I love Joker's Wild but must disagree unless WH really softens up the schedule. They look like they will be zero factor in the district, much less the region.

Ok...no problem. Simple issues...more of a Bryan Station thing instead of Fayette Co based on the article. Slams the administration pretty good.

3-27; 8 seniors; looks like some long years, not days, ahead for Western Hills. Wonder what might be if the Frankfort schools would consolidate in some way.

Considering they were 10-20, averaged 54 points a game and lost by 26 in the district tournament I'd say not promising.

First, the money as a teacher more than offsets coaching stipends. Secondly, there was an article in the paper that Bryan Station got audited and slammed the current administration. Rumor has it they might make whole sale changes at the school...starting at the top. It will be very interesting how it all turns out.

He was forced out. He moved his family to Mt Sterling...the least they could do. Shame what is going on there. The kids playing for a different coach every year is ridiculous. It is high school basketball and should be an enjoyable experience.
