I am more concerned about Bengal1. Pretty adamant that the Generals were a top tier team. It looks like they will have to be Lexington Catholic to just get into the region. He's been awful quiet this week for some reason. I hope he's ok.

I could not agree more. Here is hoping the Sweet 16 draw won't be lopsided as it has the tendency to be.

Bengal1 is awful quiet this morning...being there the score really wasn't indicative of the game. Dunbar is on a whole other level than anyone in the 11th at this moment. I see Dunbar; Scott County/Henry Clay; about 4-5 other teams and then the rest.

Checking the Woodford County schedule they had a district game the night before so I'm not sure the excuses being made for one and not the other.

Franklin Co won 58-54. Don't remember score but Henry Clay blew out Owensboro. They didn't have their best player or any football players.

The bigger question is when will BGP put in spellcheck and Grammatik....

I thought he was hurt. The GRC transfer will make them more athletic...after losing in the semis last year they will make some noise late in the year.

You mean the Cov Cath that was missing three starters or the PRP that was missing four of their own? The fact that winning summer games is your basis to a good season speaks volumes. Summer means little to nothing about a team...especially since very few teams field their actual teams. However, as I have said, Lafayette will be very good but will miss Jackson more than people think. Lastly, the 11th region tournament is about the draw. If a team draws the 41st or 44th they avoid the Lexington schools and Scott County.

I believe Lafayette will miss Lucky Jackson more than people realize. He was an X factor...on the glass and their best defender.

It is Dunbar's to lose with Bryan Station and Henry Clay battling for second best.

Another kid who IMO has chosen the perfect level. I would be surprised if he didn't have a very nice career at Asbury.

I expect them to win the 11th so better than expected...pretty high expectation IMO. Addition of Thomas makes them a favorite when they get to Rupp.

Why is it D1 or bust? IMO I believe a lot of people, "experts" and not so much "experts" think most kids can play D1. This is simply not the case. Also, if a kid gets his/her college paid for who cares where they will play...meaning on what level they play. Tyler Hagen is a good player...a great high school player. Again, IMO, I believe he is playing at the right level for him. I saw him play several times and in the long run he will have a fantastic career at CU. Wish him the best!

Frankfort and Franklin County both lose major players to graduation. Western Hills returns 6 of the top 7...that is what I based that on...along with the fact that Woodford County only beat them by one and two late in the season.

Has the talent pool at Carroll County dried up in recent years? Weren't they usually full of athletes a few years ago?

I believe a big reason is that there isn't that much difference in the total enrollment as compared to the Lexington/Louisville regions. In those regions frequently there are over 1000 + student difference in enrollment.
