  1. Per Walton Verona Wrestling Facebook Page: "Proud to announce that our junior, Mason Smith of Walton Verona Wrestling has verbally committed to continue his wrestling and academic career at Army West Point! Congratulations Mason we are so proud of you!" Congratulations to great student and wrestler.
  2. It is not good, we would love to have all these boys healthy. Several players rotating in for "iron man" football, which we do not see much at CC. Under these circumstances last week, the young men gave extraordinary effort. Playing SK at SK is a very difficult task for sure. Fans and player parents are eager to see the Camels bring the same enthusiasm and drive into this contest that they had shown the week prior. Every Play! All ya Got! To the Whistle!
  3. Not trying to split hairs. Wins vs. top 1000 programs is why Trinity is ranked #1 in KY (No argument, they are #1). But SOS also ties into all games, win or lose for other teams. Where on the chart above do you draw the line of a weak schedule. SK was criticized for scheduling CAL, but CAL is ranked 24th in KY (1552). X has the strongest schedule ranking in KY, if they would have played CAL, CAL would have been there 4th highest ranked game. Again, where on the chart above do you draw the line of a weak schedule? Further, do you have to schedule one of the Louisville Big Three to be exempt from criticism?
  4. There was much ballyhoo this summer with regards to the scheduling of some 6A programs. With the season almost complete, is this still the consensus using Calpreps SOS? Is there a thought that if you don't play the Super 3, your schedule is weak? Is scheduling one "power game" enough to offset an otherwise weak schedule? Lafayette did schedule Trinity and with that game, per Calpreps, they only have the 13th strongest SOS. What do you think? 5. Defense was much more physical than they have been recently. Big shout out to the 4 "Super Sophomores" starting on Defense for the Camels for being aggressive (Peyton Anderson, Tanner Lawrence, Reid Jolly, Logan Harrod). They don't quite have the size/strength yet, but their athleticism showed last night.

  7. S - Logan Harrod for CC. Only a Sophomore, but has great instinct and is a good open field tackler.
  8. I watch the program pretty closely and don't share your view. I don't think teaching accountability and emphasizing effort are detrimental to the "children" and I know a lot of players who do buy in. As for parents of players, it is easy to bad mouth, but it takes a lot of effort to teach your player to be their best, to give their best effort EVERY PLAY, and to sacrifice for the team. The coaches teach this, it is time for the parents to as well.
  9. University of Tenn.-Martin is DI-FCS
  10. Footballforever74 did not make such a claim, Cane did with regards to Jackson. Jags D did a nice job of plugging the area between the tackles.
  11. I parked near the corner of Linden Ave and 8th St. Was able to take the Bat Cave entrance (stairs to field) and was quite convenient.
  12. 7 Campbell County 5 Ryle 3 Covington Catholic 2 Holy Cross 1 Bellevue TB CC
  13. There were upper and lower bleachers. Uppers were above ground and in need of repair. Lowers were built into the grade of the hill, so there is not much maintenance. Board decision to demolish upper stands, rather than spend the money. There is still plenty of seating. There is also the sides (grass) of the lower bleachers, that will hold a lot of people.
  14. 7 Campbell County 5 Milford (OH) 3 Bracken County 2 Bryan Station 1 Owen County 1st Tiebreaker Campbell County
  15. Allen R, great pics as usual. Two CC players in a lot of the pics: #9 Nic Mayer, the Junior is leading the team in receptions and yards following a great Sophomore season. Has really become the go to guy on a team with a lot of talented receivers. Also, showed great composure in kicking the game winning field goal, while this being the first game taking on those duties. #26, Logan Harrod, just a Sophomore, but showing great skills in the secondary. Two interceptions against Highlands and has been effective against the run.
  16. Highlands is not a lock. To much unknown between Birds vs Camels. Birds coming off an impressive showing. Camels have been playing competitive ball, just will need to finish drives .
  17. 7 Simon Kenton 5 Lloyd Memorial 3 Ludlow 2 Dixie Heights 1 Bellevue 1st TB Simon Kenton
  18. Platoon and are deep in many positions. Players still fighting for starting jobs.
  19. Fans in Claryville are still optimistic about this team. Young, but with great Senior leadership. Go Get 'em Camels!
  20. 637 remaining, ball on EC 20, CC with ball
  21. Camels down by 7, but they have driven the field 3 times. 2nd half starting now. Camel d has hel EC to 9 yds. Deflected pass interception td and punt return td are only EC offense Go camels!
