All of the line deserves praise, they are the back bone! How abt the guy who coaches them! Scott Turner (Newport '87 grad) just plain smart! This staff is filled with quality coaches! Wayne Hall & Ryan Swope (Bellevue grads), Shelby Jones (Frankfort Western Hills), Weinrich, Dill, Behymer, Evans, Reed, Court (Highlands), Lynch & Leopold (?)... I know I missed a couple, but this staff is loaded!

Cooper will give it all they got and it should be a good one! This BG is # 2 thing is debatable...I think the Birds averaging about 50 pts. a game may have something to say about that.

Crew was from Louisville...Worst I've seen in awhile. 1. Bad spots for both teams all night 2. Picking up an unsportsmanlike penalty thrown on the LC head coach who ran from the sidelines to near midfield and pointed fingers like Pete Rose did to Dave Pallone minus the contact. 3. Awarding a 5 yd gain on an incomplete pass (no lie) 4. Missed more holds on both sides than anyone could count 5. At least 2 PI's one each way that were horrific no calls 6. Delayed the game to tie shoe of an LC player 7. The LC kicker swung and missed on an attempted onside kick - explanation was it blew off the tee which is possible, but it looked like it came off after the kick attempt was made. 8. As the game came to a close there were several cheap shots delivered that were simply ignored. 9. A unsportsmanlike penalty called on LC during an injury timeout - think the refs had big ears - 10. A first down was awarded to Highlands that appeared short and at least should've been measured. Just some examples...

Pure comedy across the board. Makes the award not as esteemed...Queen of Pink is right not everyone gets a trophy, but the ones who do get it should be deserved.

It is just one good game played so I'm not sure abt a turn around, but I know that the 7th has 5 different players from last yr's team. Also, Jacob Noe has improved a bunch & with the additions of 6th man New & starting forward Sparks there is certainly a difference. The guard play of Gish, Rom, & Schoellman has gotten better/more confident. 8th struggled in the 2nd half...

8th was dn 12 at the end of the 3rd and it was all subs in the 4th. Birds didn't score in the last frame. 7th avenged a 39-7 loss last season at Conner & won by 8 after Conner tied the score at 31 mid way through the 3rd and it was back and forth the rest of the way. HMS took the lead for good with a minute and a half to play on a layup from New.

Last night Highlands swept IHM and tonight the 6th & 7th boys beat Conner. Nick Gish led the Birds with 17 & Jacob Noe added 14 & Crosley New had 10. Conner 8th boys won by 30.

Game will kick off at 7:00. Gates will open at 5:30.

I thought the O was conservative all night except for going up top after stopping CCH on 4th & inches. Even after the Q. Murray INT it was conservative...

No doubt I'm there...Missed about a half dozen games since '99 and missed 2 games b/w 1981-1992.

Agreed. I believe all of these games are tough.
