This thread makes me chuckle. I have met so many people that claim they know all about HHS and that HHS wins due to players from outside the district. When you look at the numbers, it just isn't so. By the way..... I expect the answer in 2015 to again be ........two.

It's easier to state the number of starters that lived outside the district in 2014....... two.

Glad to see Kreiger and Bradford going to conditioning. l love to see kids playing football.

I am hearing that quite a few players have returned to the program after a year or two off. This will make spring ball even more interesting.

I would never expect Beal to move to WR for all the reasons you noted. I was just musing that it would be interesting to see him have the ball in space with more regularity than getting interceptions.

Your guess is as good as mine. Mine is complete speculation based on last season. Never know at HHS. A defensive player might move to RB like Urlage did last year. Here is a crazy scenario: Beal at WR. He has proved he can advance the ball in space (StX and Oboro interceptions for 6). With that many athletes, there are a lot of options.

Kendall, Pulsfort, and Murry will carry the load at RB. All three run hard. I also love that they are good blockers. The o-line came together well last year moving from man to zone blocking. Once they understood the scheme and bought in, running the ball became fun. It will be interesting to see who steps up to replace Gall and Bunning. There will be a bunch of guys hungry to fill those spots. HHS developed a more balanced offense last year. I see HHS running the ball just as much in 2015.

I miscounted. Pulaski has nine, not seven. My mistake. I could see through my sour grapes.

I know everyone has someone that they think should be on the list, but the AP voters forgot NKY exists. Three teams in the state finals from NKY and only two on the all-state team? Just a quick glance indicates Caldwell County must have been the most talented team in history to not win a state championship (I counted seven players from Caldwell). Pulaski also had seven players... at least they won a title. I know teams win titles, not players...... but "Come on Man." Watch some film of Bo Hebel from Highlands at left guard. He will again be a force next year. Sam Murrer from covcath not even honorable mention. WOW.

North Laurel had a great event last year. They had about 15-18 schools and around 500 boys participating.

If your school has a weightlifting club, the events seem to be ready scheduled. If your son's school does not have a club, it is a little tougher. I looked around the Internet last year and emailed coaches of schools that had events the previous year. All were very nice and allowed my son to participate. My son enjoyed meeting guys from other schools and other regions of Kentucky.

Does anyone know about any upcoming weightlifting meets around Kentucky.

Congratulations to the players that made the list. Glad to see Bo Hebel get recognized. He makes the HHS offense go.

I recall the announcer was dogging HHS fans for not making noise when HHS had the ball on the last drive prior to the snaps. I hope HHS fans have enough sense not to make noise when our offense is calling its cadence.

Great, hard fought game on both sides. Best part of the game was the last 4:57. HHS decided to run inside zone over and over and over to 0:00. 355 yards rushing on the night for the Birds (Cincinnati.com).

Home field advantage, injuries, and trouble stopping the run make this a win for JC. I am rooting for CC. I hope HHS plays at home next week.

I don't worry about if my son has his jersey tucked, or the right hair cut, or the right color socks. I am much more concerned about him getting to practice on time, every day, all year long and giving one hundred percent. That in my mind is the Highlands tradition. That is the life long lesson I want him to learn from this experience.

Our boys had been reading the hype all summer long and so far this season. Many talked about the statement they wanted to make with this game. I think they came out a little angry. The bulletin board material helped a bit.

Just a reminder: Someone at covcath needs to reset the clock in the coaches office tomorrow concerning the countdown for the next time covcath will beat HHS....or does it just reset itself automatically.

I don't want to pile on .... but I was like watching a horse and wagon against a jet plane. I won't help covcath by giving away secrets but the covcath players were checking out their play cards, appearing confused, and burning clock. That's coaching. Almost got two back-to-back 12 men on the field penalties. Did you ever see a HHS player on the field look confused about his assignment. I hope he never leaves. Anyone who saw the Campbell game: Ask yourself. How far has HHS come in three games? It amazing. Great win against a good high school football team. Highlands continues to go to the next level again and again.

Great job Coach Turner to take a group with no varsity experience and do that!
