Don't know if you want to here this PurplePride, but I'm hearing the coach in your picture could be taking it, especially if they offer him an administration job...just what I've heard from some pretty credible sources.

Garrard County travels to Danville Tuesday night. GC comes in with a perfect 6-0 record, with a big win over a top 15 team in Harrison County in its bag. Garrard has only given up 7 runs in their 6 games, and have scored 45 runs also in those 6. This Garrard team is legit, and is solid in every single position. Danville is 4-1 on the year, and looks to end GC's early golden start. Looks to me like these two will be battling for the district championship in late May, so this will be a good first test for both teams. I'm taking GC 6-5...which is funny because it's impossible to predict baseball. Pitching, goes into that mostly, but hey we all have opinions so what is yours?

Throughout this year I kept telling myself, (and others) that Lincoln wasn't as good as we all thought...but right now they are coming on hot and could be the one to knock off Wayne if they can get by a good SW team. Tickets for these games should be on ticketmaster for how good of games they will be.

Boyle wins this one by 12.

Southwestern by 17.

Lincoln wins this one 73-56. Thank me later.

Coach Lynn has done an amazing job heading the new baseball field renovations, and man does it look spectacular! New fence, new backstop, all around great facility now! Garrard should be a very solid team this year!

Larry Vaught from The Advocate Messenger has chimed in on this as well! Former Garrard County football coach Jerry Perry looks set to return to lead Golden Lions - The Advocate Messenger: High School Sports

From the people I have talked to, (very reliable by the way), Perry is the coach but no one knows who his possible assistants could be. I think he will keep a couple of the hometown boys that help with the team now, and bring in all new OC and DC. We shall see!

Can't wait to see Coach Perry and his toboggan on the sidelines at Dyehouse stadium next year!

The new head coach will be named February 28th at 4 PM at the Grand Theatre...JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!

I sure do enjoy all of this consolidation talk, but I would like to direct the attention of the class back to the board on the subject at hand. From what I'm hearing in public, and on here I think the choice is Perry and will be announced in a few days! This town is going to be ecstatic!

Seriously though, I hope a big press conference is held for the community. These things can bring in a lot of momentum coming into a season.

Now THAT would be surprising.
