These two face off in the second game of the 12th Region tournament tonight at 7:45 at Pulaski County.

 

The last time they faced each other things were very very different for both teams. Lincoln won 66-28 and I believe that Ronnie Carson got in foul trouble early which hurt East Jessamine badly. That loss dropped East Jessamine to 1-5. East Jessamine is 18-6 since as they have a 19-11 record now.

 

Lincoln County is a different team now also. Their win against East Jessamine made them at 2-2 and they played without point guard Timmy Taylor who has proven to be the best point guard in the 12th Region. Lincoln's current record is now 25-5 as they have gone 23-3 since they last saw East Jessamine. Lincoln County is consistently ranked as one of the top 15 teams in the state in all polls.

I'm taking Lincoln in this one.

It won't be 66-28, but I think Lincoln controls the tempo and wins by 10-15 points.

Regarding Purple Pride's comment that Taylor is the best PG in the region - I agree that he is the best pure PG in the region. He's special, no doubt. But it's by no means a given that he's the best PLAYER that plays that position in the 12th. There are at least 3 others that come to mind as I say this. And I only bring this up in this thread because of the kid that's playing PG for the opposing team in this game, Ronnie Carson. He's is obviously 1 of those 3 I referenced. He has the ability to completely dominate a game in every aspect. It's all about what you need. Lincoln needs a Timmy and East needs a Ronnie.
