  1. Will Dixie score more points than the number of penalties they incur? I am a fan of Dixie, and not trying to trash them, but the lack of discipline continues to be an issue.
  2. I might have missed it somewhere, but why is the game Saturday at 5PM?
  3. I am waiting on patiently on certain posts that are bound to happen.

  5. But….the Chinese know how to execute it.
  6. Just looking at the body of work in the first 6 games. SK is averaging giving up 26.3 points per game. If they were in the NFL they would sit at 25 out of 32 teams. Every week you seem close to guaranteeing SK victory and that is great because you are probably one of their most loyal fans. But, to win out, and claim the district title which they have a great chance of doing, they need to get that 26.3 average down a bit. Having a healthy Crone is paramount to winning these remaining games but you cannot always rely on the offense every game to carry your team. With Corbin scoring on 2 returns there is obviously some chinks in the special teams armor and because of that SK sits at 3-3. I am just trying to keep it real. One of these games, the young Dixie roster is going to “get it”. It might be next season…..it might be Friday night in Crestview Hills. That is why we play the games. Buckle up.
  7. Still need to play defense. They ran well against Corbin and still lost. It is time for SK to stop being concerned about stats and concentrate on getting wins. Dixie is a hot mess lately so they either need to get it together or a running clock might be reality.
  8. Oh, man. I put my stats books in storage after grad school. Please do not make me dig them out. ?
  9. They did, 56-24 I believe. Crone was something like 8-23 in the passing department with 2 picks and under 100 yds. Granted Crone and Lawson did run for over 150 yds plus. However, that had zero impact on the outcome with the offense being one dimensional and the defense giving up 56 points. So, convince me that this year will be different.
  10. If Beechwood returns to health and some of the returning injured get some significant reps before the playoffs then I will have to go with the Tigers. We shall see.
  11. If Dixie does not improve upon the execution and clean up the lack of discipline then I see a decided advantage for Beechwood. One area that Beechwood could exploit is the Dixie secondary but I have not seen any evidence as of yet from the Tigers that they are a consistent threat throwing downfield. Rice is very physical and can match up with Berger in that area. I would be surprised if Rice did not follow Berger everywhere he goes. Any update on Waddell and Hayden for BW?
  12. I believe it is the still the same cast of characters in 3 of the 4 Final 4 spots in November. The big question will be who will be at full strength in the home stretch. I would love to see BW and Mayfield meet in a final. Is that a possibility?
  13. BW could not tackle, could not block, could not throw and could not run. Way too many “could nots” to stay in this game. Hats off to EE and the Cov Cath staff and players. Great game plan that neutralized BW in just about every facet. I thought CC was fun to watch last week against Dixie. Even more so this week. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
  14. Is there any update (I might have missed it) on Waddell playing tonight for BW?
  15. Other than the live stream on the Cov Cath Network are there any other viewing options for this game…….other than being there in person, of course. Thx.
  16. Rodriguez is the one player that I came away from the Dixie game being very impressed with. Speed to go along with size. He can go up and get it. If the CC QB has any time to throw then Rodriquez will be a handful for the BW defense.
  17. Maybe slow them down but I do not seeing anyone stopping them. Plus, you key on one of them too hard and that frees up the other plus allows for other players to step up such as Aylor. SK realized that first hand. Beechwood is tooled to handle bigger lines. They use speed and technique to gain leverage against the size factor. On the other side of the ball Cov Cath will need to find a way to penetrate one of the best defenses in the state. Both teams are very well coached and adept at adjustments on the fly. Cannot wait until toe meets leather Friday night.
  18. Let’s not damper the euphoria. ?
  19. Ok, Big Win for the Pioneers!
  20. Ok, they are huge and border college football size. Then why the rhetoric out there about SK’s defense being suspect?
  21. ……and why should we remember that?
  22. I was thinking the same thing but maybe the Freshman is the best option as it was for Beechwood. I would think that a 6A program would be 3 or 4 deep at QB. I remember Kyle Fieger had to step in as a Freshman at BW in the state playoffs. There were probably better options but he was best suited to lead the team to victory.
  23. I, like others, wish Crone a safe and speedy recovery. I believe that the point a few posters are trying to make is that for weeks we have heard how deep and talented this year’s SK team is and that they deserve to be ranked higher. A 6A school, if they are as deep and talented as touted, should not fall off much by losing one key player. Some, yes, but not flipping the narrative 180 degrees. Plus, you still have to play defense.
