How about following the rules instead of inventing new ways to get around them? If the rules need to be amended or changed, so be it. There's proper ways to do that. Of course NCC doesn't have a problem with someone leaving NCC for NDA . . they're not going to fight that . . it would be the pot calling the kettle black.

No dog in this fight either - BBHS should be commended for having rules and sticking to them. NCC, it's parishes, and parents, may not be breaking rules, but they sure are bending them and going against the spirit of them. How nice it must be to stroll into St. Therese and tell a bold face lie by saying I'd like to join the parish, and then never attend, volunteer, or do anything else other than to use it as an "underground RR" to NCC. Says a lot about the people NCC is attracting. The parents all know what school feeds where - send your kids to the right school in the first place and follow the dang rules. And someone high up needs to enforce them. It's a loophole that needs to be closed.

The Camels are solid - congrats to them and they could surprise next week. As I've stated all season, BBHS is young and a year away. Not having a senior on the team is catching up with them this week. The 20+ win season seems hollow when in Districts you go 1-1, only winning by 2 over a team u should have beat by 20. IMHO, I agree with the post in the boys forum Re: BBHS Boys, and believe the girls should follow the same advice, that BBHS would be better prepared for post season by playing Boone Co, NDA, and Ryle and going 15-10 in the reg. season. They would still get enough easy wins due to conference scheduling, but be much more battle tested come tourney time.

That Futscher is quite a player. Futscher v Kiernan will be a showdown to watch for the next 2 years.

Whatever you post is correct, but disagreeing with your opinion makes you a hater/ax grinder? To use your logic in the other direction, you absolutely accept whatever BGH posts as Gospel, and you are a 100% homer all the time for BBHS. Is that a fair label to place on you?

That only half shows you what you have - how do you know how good you are if the teams you are playing have their talent spread out across 3 teams and are filling their roster with 8th graders? You are comparing apples to Jello. That's my point.

U r kinda makin my point for me - that if you really want to win a JV or Freshman tourney you can stack a team - pull players up or down. Will that team be a true representation of the talent you have at that level? If you stack and win and the others don't, what does that prove?

It's because there's nothing to figure out. I simply tell it like it is. I have no ax to grind, I have no dog in the fight. Other people are posting the same thing I am on the head-to-head with Cru. And BBHS does absolutely have the worst PA system - they know it, and anyone who's been there knows it. As I have previously posted, for the record - BBHS will be an absolute bona fide contender able to compete with and beat anyone - next year. I just think this year they are still too young. Their experience this year will make them great next year.

Like I've said before, I don't care who does well and who doesn't, and what you tell your kid is up to you. It's not negative to point out the obvious - that Varsity means more than JV, Freshman, and 7th grade championships.

First of all - how does anyone know what music is being played at BBHS - they have the worst PA system on the planet. Second - BBHS 7-1, Cru 7-1 - Cru def BBHS head to head. Pretty easy to figure out who the real champ is.

7-8 seniors? Something like that. And no one who stands out coming up in the pipeline. They are still very good and will have the talent to beat most teams - but the switch to R9 is a killer.

Ryle/NDA rankings blew up after last night . . .

Ha - rest assured I'm loved by no one, since I have no connection to any program - I just call it as I see it. You want Volleyball predictions? That's easy . . KY volleyball is very predictable: Region 10 - Bishop Brossart will win Region 10 in 2012. They have good talent in the pipeline and many returning starters. Camp Co. losing too much to graduation. No one from Dist 38, 39 or 40 has the talent to compete with BBHS. Region 9 - Forget about NCC - they are done for years. Graduated everyone. 3 way race between NDA, St. Henry, and Ryle. 3 talented teams in the same region, doesn't seem right only 1 will go to state. St. Henry will have to win now with 2 best players as Seniors. Ryle is the only public school in state with a legit shot at becoming state champ in the next 2 years. But in the end, I think NDA will win Region 9 in 2012. Regions 1-5, 8, and 11-16 - history has proven that for 32 years and counting, it doesn't matter who wins those Regions, they will not win State. The stupid blind draw state brackets will randomly fix themselves this year after last year's debacle so we actually get decent late round match-ups at State. Assumption will win state again in 2012, with NDA as runner-up. But NDA will win state in 2013. You heard it here first.

Winning the Freshman or JV Championship is an extremely skewed result because any talented 9th or 10th grader would already be up on the Varsity at most schools. Any number of teams could easily win this title at the Frosh or JV level if they had their best players play on only the Frosh or JV team. It is not a predictor of future success.

What does school size have to do with it? How is it harder for a small school??? If you meant it will be harder for an underdog to beat a favorite, you are correct - simple math/logic suggests that if you lengthen the "playing field" there's less chance of an upset. Like a 5 game playoff series vs 7. St. Henry and NCC are both small schools that can beat anyone anytime - enrollment size is not an issue.

I have a question - if BBHS has an intrasquad scrimmage - white v green - does BGH post if white wins, or only if green wins? Will the losing team "basically" win, to use BGH logic?
