Do you know if Coston, housley and Herndon will be back?

Pouncey and Jeffries provide good depth but they really missed Herndon and Coston...outside of Bolden, Herndon probably has more talent than anybody on the team...Lincoln county started 4 Sophs and had a nice pg, Holmes couldn't pressure like they are used to with the shorter bench...

Coston wasn't dressed either was housley and Herndon wasn't even at the game which hurt Holmes...I don't know what's going on but they will really miss Herndon if something happened with him...I'm guessing Housley and Coston were just banged up

Anderson usually has pretty nice athletes...

I thought most of their transfers came from Holmes?

He has great speed and is a great player, I have no problem acknowledging that...I was simply trying to bring people down from their High Horse in thinking that he got hosed by not being Top 10...According to ESPN he ran a 4.72 40 and is ranked 8th, in comparison the fastest receiver ran Leandrew Gordon from Arlington TX and a Kansas St. commit ran a 4.30 40 and isn't even ranked... Quick is a very very good FB player and WR and the position is about more than speed and he has the total package...My point was in other states he is more of an annual product than a once every 5-10 year type product...Also I just want to say the kid Gordon that ran the fastest 40time of all WR recruits and isn't even rated in TX would probably be the #2 ranked WR in KY behind Quick and a top 10 talent in KY...There is a big discrepancy in skill position talent between KY and many of the other powerhouse states...

For those that want him to be top 10 and top 150 he is considered to be both by ESPN...Very Nice :thumb:

Top 30 at a Skill position like WR is elite, that's what I am saying...The people complaining that he is only Top 30 are being extremely biased towards a KY kid IMO...

Quick is awesome and one of the best WR's to come out of KY in a long time...He is top 30 in the country according to Rivals and I don't know how you can complain about that given the talent level in KY vs FL, TX, CA etc...If many of us lived in these states we would see guys like Quick every year, he is very good and his ranking shows it but he is probably not top 10 or top 100 overall of all positions in the nation or whatever you guys feel he should be...In KY he is the #1 overall player and the #1 WR...If he was in FL he would be the #7 WR, If he were in TX he would be #8, in CA he would be #4...In FL he would be the #34th best overall player, in TX he would be 27th overall and in CA he would be 23rd overall... These states are traditional powerhouses and the majority of the WR's ranked above him are from these 3 states alone...Not including OH, PA, GA, LA, etc I would say that both his WR ranking and Overall Ranking are fair...He would compete well in these other states but his ranking would more than likely not go up, It might actually go down due to the level of competition in these other states...Now I will say that he plays at one of the few schools in KY that play a challenging schedule but I will still say it is nothing like playing every FRI night in TX, FL, CA, etc...James Quick is a stud and just to be considered Top 250 in the entire country and a Top 30 WR in the entire country is quite an accomplishment...I am not knocking the kid at all just justifying his ranking and trying to be realistic...In the powerhouse states there are many receivers every year with the same qualities as Quick, some are believe it or not better, taller and face competition equal to that of Trinity....17 or the 25 WR's ahead of Quick have better size and just as good of speed, in KY Quick is the only receiver you will see with that combination of size and speed maybe for years and years... Now everyone can jump on me for knocking a KY kid, when in reality I am giving him props but also trying to be realistic...He is the best WR prospect from the state since Aaron Boyd who was also top 40 in the country, it hasn't turned out well for Boyd...However I do honestly feel like Quick is a much better prospect than Boyd was, Boyd had better size though...

What offers does Hatton hold? I've read the article and those are an impressive list of schools however I don't think it would be in his best interest as a player to a school of those caliber...Also interest is one thing, Kentucky the King of Recruiting right now shows interest in a lot of players that they don't sign, you got too have a back up plan...Teams even show interest and in the end up offering nothing more than a preferred walk on...I don't bash High School kids and he is a player, I have watched him since the 8th Grade...I want him as a fan of NKY Basketball to go somewhere will he won't get buried on the bench and he will get to play...Every year 2, 3 and 4 Star HS kids go to High D1 schools and don't make it they get recruited over or just aren't happy about playing time, ie. at UK AJ Stewart, just too name one...That kid had he played in NKY would have been hyped up by the locals, but wasn't really a fit at a High D1 school I think he transferred to North Florida or something to be closer to home...We get excited in NKY when a kid gets a bit of national attention because while we have nice players, we just don't have the athletes or caliber of players that other areas have...We have seen many locals go away to a school and up right back at NKU or one of the other smaller schools withing a 2.5 hour radius...How many D1 OFFERS does he have right now? The offers tell a lot...Every player has a different make up and a different work ethic and I hope he goes to the best of the best I really do I wish him nothing but the best...I wan't to watch him on the big networks and I want him to succeed, I'm just giving the opinion of what I have seen and I am trying to be real...

NKU, Wright St., The MAC Schools in general imo are his ceiling...That level of play would allow him the chance to start probably during his sophomore year and on, while seeing 20 min a game as a freshman...Anything above Mid-Major he probably gets stuck on the bench and becomes simply a zone buster seeing limited floor time...

He is bigger than Polson I'll give you that, but Justice? Polson and Justice are both very fit for the college game, Polson is skinny but has bulked up a bit since High School but Justice always was big...Hatton is still in High School so I won't hold it against him but he seems like more Flab/Baby Fat kind of big, rather than strong athletic and lean...I just don't know how you think he is going to get around a college PG/SG/SF and get his shot off...They don't play defense in AAU or High School like they play it in College, specifically D1...Sure he goes up against pretty good athletes during the AAU season, but those athletes are going to be up in his face in college and he is going to need to be able to finish at the rim...He does have a nice floater which he will be able to use in college if he can get around his defender, but how are his ball handling skills they seem decent although he is a bit slow specifically with his crossover dribble...He will be a nice spot up shooter off the bench at a smaller D1 school, but if he wants to see the floor more than 10-15 min a game he needs to slim down and improve his speed and athleticism...Also he is closer to 6 foot that 6 foot 2...

Have you seen their depth? Even if they sign the transfer from Wright St. they are going to be hurting this year...Polson has been behind and practiced everyday against B-Knight, M-Teague and R-Harrow...He knows the system and the fact that they will only have one true point guard next year Cal won't be scared to put him in games as a Junior...Cal quote on Polson, keep in mind he will be a year more experienced this next season and the cats won't have much depth "Jarrod Polson can play because he doesn't hurt you. Polson is better...He is faster, a better athlete, better ballhandler and a very good shooter in his own right...You are right about stuff of legends I watched every game in his tourny runs and the kid carried that team on his shoulders...He could do it all, jumps out of the gym for his size and it's probably under rated what he has done at UK in practice against the best of the best...Hatton is a different type of player, Polson is a true point guard that can score if he has too...Polson will probably see 5-10 minutes a game at UK next year if not more...I do believe Hatton would be a good fit for NKU who is now going to be D-1...What offers did Justice and Polson have coming out of High School because Hatton isn't going to do much better unless he walks on at a High D1 like Justice and Polson? I also want to say I am not knocking this kid at all as I have watched him every time he has went against Holmes in his career and he has lit them up and he has gotten much better...Austin Hill of Holmes is a kid I knew real well from watching him play, big physical guard and a great scorer...I always thought Austin was good enough for a UC or X well he ended up at Illinois St...He still has time but unless he grows a bit more, gets in better shape and becomes more explosive, Low D1 or High D2 (GLVC) is where I see him ending up...I watched the D2 Championship at NKU and those teams were filled with Hatton type players, nothing to be ashamed of there...Maybe I am underestimating him, he does remind me a bit of Rotnei sp? Clark a top Recruit that played for Arkansas, Could he be that good for anyone in the know how?
