How many transfers does Beechwood have?
Its not the case for most NKY public schools.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
I pulled two from Yaegle's first championship off the top of my head. Excuse me, add Partin from Earlanger to that list. I will venture to say that it would be tough to find a Beechwood team that hasn't had an out of district player playing on it since 1990, which is good for them.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
Excuse me, not transfers, out of district students. Are you telling me that Craig Wilmhoff and Joe Johnson didn't help the 91 state effort. My mistake for not being correct in my verbage. I meant out of district students and not transfers. However, a transfer is really just another out of district student.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
Most counties get Kera and ADA money that equals close to $7000 per student. Therefore, since most county schools have people on average with lower incomes than say a Highlands or Beechwood, they have to charge tuition to cover every dime of this money because they don't have people that vote in extra taxes to help with local education. It is good that Highlands and Beechwood do. My point is that it is and advantaged based on being in an are with higher income and a population that puts education on a higher level of importance.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
No, but plainspoken did get the benefit of the best College education that this state has to offer, along with it being the top twenty in the nation. Your moronic statement once again is off basis. We are talking about money to attend schools. Most Highlands and Beechwood are both able to charge LESS than most schools. That is the point. Good for them. If other schools have a problem with it, they need to change in their own district. BTW, I would love to set our educational credentials side by side.

The districts themselves. Most districts can't afford to take a student at a rate less than the ADA money.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
Reread my post. I didn't say that they couldn't by rule, I said that they couldn't due to their financial situations. Most county schools don't have extra public support financially, so they are forced to set tuition equal to the ADA money due to their financial situation.

But, as stated above, I am not. I know that two years ago Highland's tuition was in the high 2000's. Why not just accept that the system is set up in this manor? I don't get it. This is off the Ft. Thomas website for 12 and 13. Most schools release the state contract, so most students are eligable for the first tuition. Reguardless, the second tuition is still lower than private education. Tuition rates for 2012 - 2013 ADA Contract No ADA Contract Kindergarten (1/2 day) $1050.00 $2300.00 Grades 1 – 12 $2100.00 $4600.00

The large difference would be financial capability. Small independent districs can accept locally voted on dollars, and set their own tuition rates to attend their school. County schools pretty much have to set tuition to the price of the state allowance to accept a non-district student, if it is even in their policy to accept these students. IMO, small, upper class independent schools even have advantage over private institutions in that they can accept anyone for much reduced prices due to the ability to both recieve state dollars for in district students, and recieve extra money from local public support. Once again, it is the way it is, and there is no reason to cry about it. If people choose to give their money to their local school system, good for them. But I would bet my money that if you check tuition to go to Beechwood, or Highlands "former" tuition, you will find that it is less than the state charge, and much less than to attend a private school.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
Beechwood has always had a lot of out of district players that have helped their teams, which is fine. That is the way the system is set up. I fail to see the point of crying about it.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
I have also talked to several DI coaches who claim they don't care about the size of the school a kid plays at, but have openly admitted that film of regional powers gets looked at by a much larger number of DI schools across the country. Also, they seem to go against their word when every time they are looking at a kid they look at his teams schedule and ask for the game film against their absolute best opponents. If that best opponent is Cov with a seven win record, that is not a lot of competition. If that opponent is Cincy St.X or another DI Ohio Power, the look is better. Also, like I said up top, you will get more looks through schools looking at a regional power that you have played that has DI talent being looked at within its ranks. It is really a dream to think playing better competition doesn't open more doors.

I can follow that line of thinking if you are concerned about playing both ways.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
How so? Which IA high school plays a big boy schedule in this state? Please correct me if I am wrong? Do they play highly competative 6A schools? Do they play state contender 4 and 5 A schools? The answer on that could be yes with Cov depending on the year. Do they play high level regional schools from other states? There is a difference between a high level schedule and a high level A schedule.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
Their best game is Cov, who until last year and this coming season has been down. I disagree with the good competition statement. They play a good schedule for a IA school. They don't play what I would call a highly competative regional schedule that pits your athletes against the kind of competition that they would face at the highest college level.

Simon Kenton/Danville Death Valley Bowl
Lets put it this way......If SK loses, they are in trouble this year.

How many transfers does Beechwood have?
I honestly don't understand why you would go to Beechwood anymore strictly for football. They are A, which means the competition you play week in and week out is low. They haven't been getting the job accomplished lately at the state level in that classification. Division I coaches look at a player vs. their best competition. You are much more likely to get the desired looks playing at a larger school that has sucess. Of course, Beechwood does have many other benefits to offer. However, their benefits do not exceed Highlands or Ryle academically. Once again, I am not trying to insult Beechwood. I am just making the point that I feel there would be more reasons than football to transfer to Beechwood at this moment in their program.

Ryle 2012
The same people that have been running it. Warner and Teegarden.

Sorry, didn't see the other thread.

Ryle's football team also volunteered in Piner.

Eric Deters says Simon Coach Jeff Marskberry should be out...
So you do remember the fact that the Rocks had no one playing both ways and Ryle had five that never left the field. This led to a 21-6 fourth quarter. I think it sums up the point quite well that the depth added by players from two other football teams could have defeated Trinity. Your statement is a combination of ludicrous and ridiculous.

You must have a short memory....Two years ago T was up on Ryle 7-3 at the end of three quarter.....This game was decided by one team playing five players both ways. I am pretty sure that those three teams combined that year would have beaten T. Also, Boone has had losses several one score losses to Trinity through its glory years.
-
How to beat Trinity and Highlands.
Step one would be to play them.

Whats wrong with Highlands basketball
Do you really believe that the amount of time spent in the off season for football was the same then as it is today?
-
Who's paying to get into high school games nowadays?
I respectfully disagree. Gate money is the basis for operations of high school athletics. I don't think that the statistically wealthiest portion of the population should receive free or reduced entry.

Whats wrong with Highlands basketball
Do you really believe that Highlands would have 21 state titles if there was one champion a year in football?
