  1. Georgetown returns all of their LBs. He will probably play a little, but I don't think he will start. I think he could be a great player after a season as a backup and an offseason in the weight room.
  2. Chris Kelly of NCC signed with EKU Alex Slabaugh of CovCath signed with Georgetown
  3. How and when is Pikeville becoming a University?
  4. I don't see the big deal about Highlands playing up two classes (or one this next season). Their district is not very tough and nobody in the playoffs gives them a game.
  5. Best of luck to Highlands, and another game between these two teams would be interesting. Stewart looked excellent. The Indians desparately need to find a way to adapt when the press and fast-paced game isn't effective.
  6. HC needs to work the middle more with less perimeter, such a low shooting percentage should be expected when the majority of your shots are threes.
  7. Holy Cross, year after year, fails to get the respect that they deserve. Last year's team was the winningest in HC history. Won the Region and the Conner Classic, taking down some good programs along the way. With the losses of Roenker and Egan the Indians may be still show great strength as they lost to Ryle (one of the preseason top teams) at their place by 1 run last year without their seniors. It should be an intersting year for baseball in NKY.
  8. Regardless it's a big victory for the Indians. The rivalry is back to full force!
  9. I can't see any reason to think BW is the better team in any way. HC dominated them in the All A and won this time around with a terrible start and just plain dropping the ball from the free throw line. Not to mention that Burger had the worst game I have seen him play since last year. I think the bigs for HC really have to step up and keep Thelen and Connely out of the lane or it will be a long night in the paint for the Indians.
  10. Bovard, PVS, and AC are the top three in my opinion. Stats of wide out's in High School are very misleading in my IMO, and that is why some people on here are mentioned just pure stats.
  11. Played in a pass happy offense, seemed to catch a lot of simple routes. Good player but not at a lot of other guys levels.
  12. Great game by the Breds very well coached team. Both teams played hard but NCC was nasty in the trenches, I think they go on to win it all. Once again HC has the position players to compete with anyone year in and year out they just can't find enough big fellas to play up front. Good luck to the Breds the rest of the way!
  13. Last year I would agree HC had more talent than NCC but not this year. The Overall Defense played by NCC gives them the edge. I do however see Arlinghaus throwing far less INT's and having a much better game, like wise NCC won't put the ball on the ground as much. It will be hard fought but I really think the HC passing attack matched with one of the most undderated players in NKY in the HC running back Fuller is going to put it on NCC. Now if only the HC D can kepp the NCC rushing yards under 400.:sssh: I like HC in this on 35-28.
  14. Can't wait to see a great HC vs. NCC game. Newport is going to be rocking.
  15. Oh ok got ya. It sure would be nice though, either way a D-1 basketball team or a football team at NKU would really bring some much needed buzz to the area i think. It would kill TMC depending on what Division the football team would be.
  16. All true but man I think they could really put a team together, a lot of kids in NKY and the surrounding areas seem to stop playing football because of the lask of a middle level team around here and a lot of kids just do not want to move to far away. In NKY it's either D-3 (no knock at all) or Big East ball. Is it even a thought at this point to think NKU would try this does anyone know?
  17. What is this based on? Clearly NCC is the favorite but to say no chance doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but hey we have all had our poorly thought out posts.:ohbrother: I just hope to see a hard fought game and knowing the guys on both sides I can confidently say all will be left on the field.:thumb:
  18. They won't, they can't knock HC anymore. Great hard fought game by each team! HC just seemed to want it more in the 4th quarter they had the never say die attitude. I mean how about the poise or the offense as a whole in the 4th quarter. Desales running back #40 tried to do it his self just couldn't carry the whole team, very good player. Great game boys!
  19. You do realize that HC and Desales have met the past two years, granted Desales has played great and came out on top, and the games have been decided by ovetime 2 years ago and a last second interception by HC while driving for the win last year? Just wondering where the water in your argument is? I by no means am saying this game won't be close, HC has to play their best to win!:thumb:
  20. All people that think Carroll County had any chance once the game started is sadly mistaken HC did what they wanted to do Ran 6 different plays and every aspect of the game was controlled by HC. I guess the guys defending Carrolls loss are coaches defending their job or something because HC respected Carroll as a team and Pulled all starters at one point of the game and Carrol left all starters in and they were able to score one more time. Not only was HC able to score, but they never had a drive more than 50 yards for a touchdown showing that HCs special teams was much more superior. As i stated earlier HC controlled the game in every aspect of the game!!
  21. Those days weren't to long ago, but they are a powerhouse now.
