  1. Difference there is that SK has open enrollment.
  2. If I am correct the final of this one was CC 14 Cooper 7. Very very physical game. Cooper looked improved over last year with their young QB, Morris? throwing a couple of nice passes while on the run. CC looked pretty solid in the run game and their QB throws a very nice ball. He is a sophomore too right? CC also had a big receiver who made a few nice grabs..
  3. I find it ironic that while reading this thread a Zales ad is at the top of my screen...
  4. I saw this video a couple of days ago and loved it. I went ahead and bought it and put it on my iPod.
  5. But didn't you know, IF Miles gets to play offense for UK he will shatter these numbers and since UK is the far more prestigous school (comparing to Alabama) Miles will ultimately be the best to play college football ever. He will be so good, he will make Jesus himself turn his head on Tim Tebow. I watched Miles play and I do think he is a good player and am in no way trying to spite him. I jst think UK is saying some absurd things so I figured I would join in on the fun.
  6. I heard the Jags started slow but finished strong. Not sure what the "score" was. Did hear that Morris and Collins both looked pretty good playing QB. Also heard that NCC dumped the ball off a lot to the running backs.. Is that a major roll in their offense?
  7. Oh god.. UK and SK together in one post! Simpson is a great athlete but I have a feeling he may be on the defensive side of the ball before his college career is over.
  8. I believe Ryle plays Cooper at Ryle tomorrow.
  9. I see where you are coming from. I'm not trying to argue about it, I just always assumed it to be a safety thing. You have brought up some good points though.. Best of luck to both teams for what is hopefully an exciting season for the Jags and for JC!
  10. We never wore them to the game.. nor did we wear them when we won.. Huh guess things tend to work out the same everywhere huh? I'm sure no matter what I say you'll find a way to turn this around and against Borchers. Personally I think the guy is doing a great job with the Cooper program and scheduling JC will do nothing but improve and prepare the team for the tough 6A schools down the road! Good luck to both teams and both coaching staffs!!!! :thumb::thumb::thumb:
  11. I had to wear helmets home when I played as did a ton of my friends from other schools and I believe it is a very common practice among a lot of teams. It was about safety from what I can remember. You get on that yellow bus and you are a sitting target. We used to get rocks thrown at the bus where I played. Sounds like he is protecting the kids from fans more than punishing them for losing..
  12. He's talking about me. It's correct. 7 on 7 isn't about winning as much as it is seeing where you're specialties guys are in terms of being able to play against someone else or just to see how different plays may or may not work. I've never taken 7 on 7's to mean much anyway. JMO.
  13. I think you meant 3rd year. But you are right, this went from discussion to someone bashing a school. The young men at both schools work extremely hard and should be proud of what they accomplish. Best of luck to both schools this year! :thumb:
  14. Nope, they didn't. If I remember correctly, Bradley did not play against SK last year.
  15. Even though Bradley had over 100 yards and a score against Ryle? Over 100 against Boone, 100 against Campbell? 100 against Holmes.. But those aren't good schools right? The kid can flat out play. The only big school he didn't have a good game against was SK.. a game he didn't play in.
  16. Serious as a heart attack. Cooper returns Bradley who can be argued as either the 1st or 2nd top back in NKY this season. They return all their receivers who have now played together in the offense for 3 years. They will have a new starting QB in Morris(assuming the job is his) that is not only a threat to pass but run, not to mention they lost only two starting offensive linemen from this last year. Beechwood is a class act program and an extremely successful one. I'm not saying that Cooper would kill them when they played, but it certainly would not be a three touchdown victory. I had the chance to watch Cooper play Holmes last year and had it not been for a late kickoff return to seal the deal for Holmes, that game could have gone the other way.
