Well said. So far anytime Cooper has played close with a good team (Holmes and Ryle) or they have blown out an ok team (Lloyd and Scott) Cooper has been degraded by people saying that the teams they played shouldn't have a program, or the program is in shambles, or that a team like Holmes isn't for real because Cooper played with them. Maybe... now bear with me on this... Just maybe, the kids work their tail ends off to prove to NKY that they should be a team that people worry about. Maybe Cooper is good enough to play with the big dogs of 6A and blow out the teams they should blow out. I don't know just my personal feeling on that. Give the kids credit for working hard and choosing to improve instead of back down and get their tail ends kicked.

Who all from the district have they played? Conner? Have they played Campbell yet? I wouldn't call it ready to sweep the district until you're one win away from sweeping the district.

If you look at every team, their offense is predictable. If something works, run it! When it is adjusted to and stopped, you adjust! I never understood how the people in the stands could say something is predictable. Having watched both of these teams, seeing the number of different formations each team runs, and the plays and how they differ in each formation I'd say it would be pretty hard to prepare for. Of course then, I'm also one of these people in the stands and I just enjoy watching a good game of football!

I guess we have all learned to take nothing you say seriously. Based on the fact the Ryle and SK haven't played yet this year I would assume it's a bit premature to say who is better than who. Keep on predicting that SK is going to blow everyone else out and you're going to be eating a lot of crow. It's alright though, you can bet the boys from Union will come ready to play now that they know they can play with anyone in NKY 6A.

Jason Schwartz is the freshman coach. Great guy, deserves a lot of credit!

I personally know the Freshman head coach and he is doing a fantastic job. He was an assistant last year at Dayton but left and is doing fantastic job. I believe he is 22 or 23 but is a very football smart guy and knows how to get kids to play hard for him. Keep up the good work!

And that 7th ranked team in Ohio just got waxed by the 4th ranked team in Ohio. Anderson is down from last year and still put 33 on Boone. I do though, think Boone wins this one. Just keep CC offense off the field.

Scott would go to 5, Dixie to 6.

With their current school enrollment, Cooper would be a 5A school. They are currently listed as a 4A for next year because of numbers used from the first two years of the schools young life. Current enrollment would put Cooper at a 5A size.

Cooper was started as a 6A school but with this re-alignment they are using Cooper's first two years to place them. With Cooper's current enrollment though, they would be a 5A school.

Highlands 48 Boone 7

I left at halftime and the score was Highlands 29 Cooper 0 #28 for Highlands had a couple nice runs. #31 returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

Losing two starting offensive linemen sure didn't help either...

Not trying to thread jack but I heard recently that Anderson and Turpin may have to combine into one school if a levy isn't passed to pay for both schools. Imagine how scary that team could be...

I think one think that will really benefit the Jags in this game is that week one matchup against JC. It seems like even though they lost that game, it gave the kids at Cooper a realization that they can compete and they aren't some school that is going to get run over by everyone. I think this game is going to be a good one. I know that it is up for game of the week on WCPO's website.

The one thing that is currently hurting football in KY is the fact that basketball gets priority in June IMO.
