I don't know about Corbin, but the other three are definitely more running offenses this year. McKee has migrated to a very balance run-pass offense with Lawler at QB. Lawler's play action fakes are outstanding and he's accurate; only 4 interceptions in the last 16 games. Load the box and Lawler will roll out to pass or run. Scott County has the best QB Tates Creek will face in regular season play. No doubt, it will be a really good game.

Low scoring for Tates Creek only. Scott County's starting defense has only been scored on once in 4 games. But TC will be passed on. Scott County's offense will have 200+ rushing yards and 100+ passing yards. With all due respect to those 2 corners, they can't cover the WR, WB, RB, TE and FB, and Scott County can pass to all of five.

I think GRC will win by 7-14 points and Henry Clay will continue to struggle without Miller.

Who wins and why?

SC's defense will hold TC to 14 or less. TC will not be able to stop all of SC's weapons on offense. Scott County by 21+ points.

Dunbar is still a few years away from having a consistently good program. They have enough boys to draw from, but no football tradition to inspire a high level of participation. Lafayette wins this one by 14+

Highlands wins easily.

Boyle just ran into a really good team with size and speed. Rebels will be tough in district and tournament play.

I don't think Dunbar will have the speed to catch Cameron Thomas. It may be a close game, but EJ wins this one.

Scott County's defense will hold MC to 14 or less, special teams will block 1-2 punts, and Scott County's offense will spread the ball around to score 35+ points.

So we should all scrap the season after 3 games? It's ridiculous to say that all 6A teams are playing poor football except T and X. - Pleasure Ridge Park is 3-0 with a combined score of 139-28 - Scott County is 3-0 with a combined score of 152-12 - Boone County is 3-0 with a combined score of 82-27 - Plus, three other 6A teams are 2-0 Someone is sure to reply with an "easy schedules" comment, but most of these coaches are pulling their starters once they hit a running clock. Typically, their opponents are scorring on the 2nd string defense. Looks like good football to me.

Let's be honest, everything in these threads is second or third hand info or even farther out. None of us are sitting in on the coach's meetings. I promise you that all Scott Co coaches, players and fans would have like a more competitive match up last weekend, but there were no 4A, 5A or 6A takers for week 2. Scott Co is solid on O, D and special teams this year and they don't need to avoid anyone. Let's all move on and see how the season plays out.

Webster Co traveling? That was the previous Webster Co coach's decision to drive almost 4 hours, and hardly any of their fans made the trip, which seems to support my point. Interested in a home gate - Seriously, who isn't? Scott County has eight 6A teams on a ten game schedule, and it's my understanding that Webster was the only taker Scott Co had for week 2. Don't know if Trinity and StX were asked, but there are a lot of 6A teams that don't play them in the regular season. No one wants a game where your starters end up playing for only one quarter, and I'm sure it will not be scheduled again.

Someone commented in a related thread, "Scott Co considered one of best public 6 A schools playing Webster Co...Trinity and StX playing TN powers. I hope McKee never complains about the private schools." This is a matter of respect, not fear. With all due respect to Trinity and StX programs, public school coaches have an obligation to their players, families and other fans to schedule games that can be attended with minimum expense. There's almost always the home-away or away-home 2 year contract, and many public school families just don't have the disposable income to travel out of state for games. It would be disrespectful to the families to schedule otherwise.

Scott Co pulled their starters after the first quarter and were still up 49-0 at the half. Second half just started.
