My point is don't put down a School that has a tougher District.Bellevue, Dayton, Newport are no powerhouse year after year in any sport. I under stand what History is saying, but by the way Highlands should never win a playoff game because the Schools they play are bigger and in general have more athletes.:idunno:

Been around NCC sports for along time,watch them play in the GCL in the late 60's was at the game in 73 when NC beat Highlands 15 to 14,later that year NC played Henry Clay in the playoff and lost. The next time they won the District was in 79, then they did not even come close until 84 when they drop to AA in 84. And for the big boys, CovCath and Highlands they have not beat CovCath but once in the last twenty years.

Hey history tell the boys on the hill to start playing Highlands in football and move up two classes. they never could win when they had to play the big boys. HC have alot tougher District then NCC.

If Bellevue pitching was so poor, that does not sound to good for Dixie's hitting to only score 7 runs. If not for walk's and error's the Beechwood game would not have been so bad. Bellevue will surprise alot of team's this year.

It not easy to make it out of District, when you have CovCath and Beechwood.

Is Shumate hurt, only one inning pitched in two games or are they saving him for this weekend with two tough games. Giad to hear that Klein is doing well.

I think Beechwood will get alot better as the year go on, they are a very young team with alot of talent. Dixie's pitching looked very good, should be a great year for the colonels.

Please give me the names of some of these players. I have been around the program for a couple years now and know for a fact that none have played full time JV.

Bertke looked good on the mound, Cottingham look strong behind the plate. Liggett is by far the best catcher in the 9th.

I heard Highlands also scrimmage Newport, don't know that to be true but someone from Highlands could confirm this.

Yes you are right, this is a freshman thread and NCC play freshman at the freshman level and none move up to play JV full time they move them at time,when most school move up freshman to play full time and never play any freshman ball.

Banger you need to know the facts, the last two years no freshman for NCC play just JV. If wrong please give me names,we play NCC four time last year and there were no freshman on the JV. This year might be different, but once again, there is nobody that is trashing the kids or the Breds!

Two year ago they did not move any freshman up to JV for the whole season, and no body was trashing the success of the Breds. .

If giving the chance Warning will be number one, I know two local coaches who both said they would not look forward in facing him on the mound, but then we are talking about CovCath so he might never see the mound.

NewCath is one of the only Schools, that do not move Freshman up to JV so that does help them win the region as other Schools move the better freshman up to JV. Last year CovCath JV team was almost all freshman.
