I have none. I just know this was the score. I'm pretty sure Smallwood went 3 without allowing a hit.

Got to the game late today due to my sons freshman game. I got to the game just in time to see the Colonels put up 6 runs in I believe the 2nd inning. Smallwood came out in the 3rd. He looked very good until the 3rd then it started to look as if he was fatigued. Smallwood I believe ended up walking 3 people. Striking out 4 and giving up no hits and no runs. Then Sexton came in at the start of the 4th inning and pitched the rest of the game. If my book is correct he had 7 K's, 1 Walk and gave up 1 hit and allowed 0 runs. He also helped his cause by hitting a Solo Homerun in the 5th.

 

The Tigers hitting looked poor today. Could be due to the pitching of the Colonels or it could have just been an off day for the Tigers. Johnson started for the Tigers and had a good 1,2,3 first inning and then the 2nd inning is where the screws came undone. The Colonels put up 6 in the inning. Then Brilze came in and threw pretty well. I dont know who the kid was to come in after Brilz. He was a lefty though. One thing I could tell from this game is the Tigers are VERY young but have ALOT of talent even though it didnt show it tonight.

 

Good win for the Colonels. Popham looked tough behind the plate today. Hes a very very good catcher. Congrats to the Colonels on the win!

Wow Dixie continues to roll right along.

 

Very impressive win.

Dixie's pitching is very concerning to us "non-Dixiers." My general impression is that their hitting and defense are okay - not bad, but not special either. But their pitching is very strong and that much pitching can go a long way. Maybe a couple of them will come up with sore arms.

The lefty who pitched for Beechwood had to be junior Matt Brennan as I believe he is their only lefty.

I think Beechwood will get alot better as the year go on, they are a very young team with alot of talent. Dixie's pitching looked very good, should be a great year for the colonels.

TL the post you quoted was talking about Beechwoods leftys. Not Dixies. The Colonels have 3 leftys. Smallwood, Stansberry and Burney.
