  1. Final from Franklin County. Anderson been a little slow the last couple of games hit their stride in this one.
  2. Final from Louisville. Anderson gets good game from several players.
  3. Anderson pressure defense, switching defenses kept Dunbar off balance all night. Anderson had 3 players with double digit rebounds. McKee led Anderson in scoring.
  4. Final. Anderson sure had a different look in this one. A lot of players and lots of options. When this bunch makes shots with this pace of play they are going to be a tough out. They are 9 deep and 8 of them can play a guard position.
  5. Yeah no doubt they will be a force. They are a hard working bunch of girls who put in the time in summer ball to get better. So they deserve whatever success they achieve this year. To the rest lets see if anybody can slew Goliath
  6. What is your logic in stating that one more year may not benefit Anderson? They started 3 soph and a freshman and had an eighth grader sixth man.
  7. Thanks for the post. I found the information interesting in knowing how some of the girls are doing.
  8. Sydney Brown and Makenze Cann both reached the 1000 point mark for Anderson County last night in a game aganist Bethlehem. Congrats to both girls!!
  9. Frank James since you called Anderson County out as not worthly of the top 20 and Marion un-beatable pretty much I will use them to reinforce my point. Last year Anderson spanked Marion in Rupp, the only time these two teams have ever played to my knowledge. Both have the same players now. Not to dawg Marion. They have the best team IMO and I love the players, coaches and parents and i pick them to win the state. My point and to answer your question, absloutely i think any one of "those" teams CAN beat anyone of your big 3.
  10. Always amazed at how a team gets to winning a few games or several games and all of a sudden they are unbeatable...i.e. Manual two weeks ago. Marion and Mercy are beatable by any team in the top 20 and everyone still keeps forgetting Perry Central...Big Mistake IMO.
  11. IMO once you get below the 5 spot you could throw the rest in a hat and pull teams out to determine ranking. Further, anyone in the lower 15 could beat a top 5 team on any given night. And thats all i got to say about that.
  12. I am glad you cleared that 27 point thing up and i guess it would make sense to you. You would want to win by 47 obviously. I guess its hard to be humble. You shoot poorly and don't play hard and win by 27. My point is that it may be hard to keep pouring it on when the game is never in doubt. Also do you even want to keep pouring it on? You may even need to save your legs for later tournament games or heaven forbid you may have a little mercy on another team. But nothing to me if you want to take shots at losing teams when they have just been trounced.
  13. Sounds a little contradictory: game never in doubt but no intensity. How much intensity you expect when you win by 27 if my math is correct? Oh and not to shoot well either yeah sounds like they weren't too intense.
  14. As i posted previously, yes they can be beaten. However Mercy will probably beat Manual 2 out of 10 times. Also to say Perry Centrral is not in the same league as Manual and Marion is foolish. Gurantee they can beat either one on any given night as can another handful of teams in the state. If i have learned one thing in girls basketball, nothing is a sure thing. I do think this loss by Manual makes the Marion game a little more interesting satruday. The loss shows they are beatable but it also leads me to believe it will re-focus the Manual girls. Girls basketball is great.
  15. Makenzie Cann and Eriel McKee were recognized last night as the now all time assist and steal leaders respectively for Anderson County. Both are sophomores and Cann became the career three point leader last year for Anderson. Congrats girls for your hard work.
  16. Sacred Heart seems a little high to me having lost to two unranked kentucky teams. Cannot speak for the out of state teams.
  17. Anderson County's Lindsey Fultz at Georgetown, Courtney Milam at St. Catherine, Makenzie Stoner at Asbury.
  18. Dont count those Anderson girls out just yet and give Dunbar their due. Anybody would of had a hard time beating them that night. Not sure if they will continue to play like that but they were on that night. Coach Kays seems to always sacrifice a few wins early if necessary in order to make his team better late in the season. He is playing alot of players right now, which i think he is looking for who will eventually be his 5-6-7-8 spots.
  19. Anderson started hot out of the gate led by Cann with 13 points in the first quarter before picking up charging related fouls 2 and 3 within seconds, one on the defensive end and one on the offensive end before the coach could get her out of the game, sitting the rest of of the half. Dunbar went to work and really turned Anderson over during the second quarter outscoring Anderson 29-6. Dunbar was impressive with the pressure defense. Mckee got in foul trouble early in the second half and Dunbar took advantage. Certainly not any excuses Dunbar was the best team last night as the score indicates.
