IMO once you get below the 5 spot you could throw the rest in a hat and pull teams out to determine ranking. Further, anyone in the lower 15 could beat a top 5 team on any given night. And thats all i got to say about that.

There is only 2 teams in Kentucky that can beat Manual: Marion and Mercy. There is only 2 teams in Kentucky that can beat Marion: Manual and Mercy. Now I do agree that the lower 15 in Top 20 can beat anyone else on given night. Now, that all I am saying about this.

Then the question is, can anyone beat Mercy other than Manual and Marion?

I would switch South Oldham and Walton. South and Dunbar have both been beaten by Walton yet both are ranked ahead of Walton.

Always amazed at how a team gets to winning a few games or several games and all of a sudden they are unbeatable...i.e. Manual two weeks ago. Marion and Mercy are beatable by any team in the top 20 and everyone still keeps forgetting Perry Central...Big Mistake IMO.

Sometimes it's best to fly under the radar.

h20boy what amazes me is that you make a comment about winning a few games. Those 3 teams win more than a few games. Again, Manual and Marion and Mercy above all others. Looked at schedule, well teams in Top 20 are the following: Lets see Madison Central? Marion wins by 34, Lexington Catholic? Marion wins by 20+, Paul Dunbar? Marion wins by 20+, Lincoln Co? Marion wins by 30, Casey Co? Marion wins by 20+,

 

On the other hand, Anderson, Ryle, Sacred Heart, Ballard, Henderson Co., etc may not even be TOP 20 so you think those teams could beat one of the top 3.

Should Owen County be ranked ahead of WV since Owen got a win over Walton? It's not JUST about who beat who, but it has been mentioned frequently that WV should be ranked ahead of South since Walton won by a whopping 3 pts. ?

Sacred Heart has beat both Ballard and Butler, yet they are ranked ahead of SH. Mercy beat Manual but it has done nothing for their ranking. You got to look at who have they beat, who have they lost to, what were their margins?

 

But, rankings just a matter of opinion; most agree that the first several teams are way ahead of the rest at this point. Next couple weeks should prove interesting.

South has three losses, two of them to unranked teams and one to Walton. Walton has four loses, two to # 4 Boone, one to #7 ND and one to Owen. South has not beaten any Top 20 team and Walton has beaten four (Dunbar, Clay County, Madison Central and South). I think this explains why Walton should be ranked above South. Walton has beaten some ranked teams and South hasn't.
