I would think that Montgomery Co. should be in there somewhere, probably in the bottom 5 but ranked nonetheless.

South has three losses, two of them to unranked teams and one to Walton. Walton has four loses, two to # 4 Boone, one to #7 ND and one to Owen. South has not beaten any Top 20 team and Walton has beaten four (Dunbar, Clay County, Madison Central and South). I think this explains why Walton should be ranked above South. Walton has beaten some ranked teams and South hasn't.

Sorry I overlooked their win against #15 Butler. I was not at all implying that South does not play a difficult schedule. I was just citing Top 20 wins and losses. As I have said in other threads, I think any of the top 4 in the 8th Region can beat the other on any given night and there is not much difference in any of the 4 teams. These rankings are just that, they mean nothing but they do give us something to talk about and this is what makes me happy. :lol:

Last year Anderson spanked Marion in Rupp, the only time these two teams have ever played to my knowledge. Both have the same players now. Not to dawg Marion. They have the best team IMO and I love the players, coaches and parents and i pick them to win the state. My point and to answer your question, absloutely i think any one of "those" teams CAN beat anyone of your big 3.

My guess is you better hope you don't draw the 5 , 6, 7 region in state tourney. You better hope 5, 6, 7, and 14 all play each other in 1-2 round so somebody else have chance to play on Saturday morning.

As I have said before, these rankings are just good conversation pieces. The real proof is who wins on the floor. The real season starts in a few weeks when it's win or go home. And as stated previously, on any given night any team can beat the other. I just think Walton has the edge at this point in the 8th and it's only my opinion and not the gospel. :thumb:

They did? And you are certainly correct with your previous post, Madman. On any given night, anything is possible. A regular season win for anybody visiting Anderson is unusual and temporarily nice, but winning in March is what matters. I'm in agreement with you, and hopefully we're again on the same page.

The idea of "unbeatable" teams is almost comical. I think Marion and Manual certainly stand out. However, a bad shooting night and a really good night from another team, and you get beat. That's why they play the game. Look no further to the NFL and the unbeatable Packers. Upsets happen all the time. That's why IMO that sports are so fun to watch. You really never know.
