  1. I heard Mclendon is a done deal for Holy Cross. The question is, how good does this now make them even if the other two players don't come?
  2. What happed to Jake Burger from Holy Cross? He was the best pitcher and one of their best hitters for the Bulldogs baseball team, which was made of of some Covcath and Beechwood players.
  3. Holy Cross beat Dixie this year by 8 at Dixie. They lost to Conner by 6. I believe most of their other loses were 10-17 points. They lose 1 senior and bring back 8 players with a full year of varsity experinece. I do agree that Holmes has talent but teams will not fear them as they did the last 3 years. As for Covcath, they bring back a 2 good players in Thelen, and Conley. Their biggest issue is Lack of experinece. The only junior to play beside those two was Riedinger. That is why I had them rated below Holy Cross.
  4. I agree with the top three, Conner, Dixie and Boone, but Holmes( yes they will have some talent, but inexperienced) , and Highlands( 10 seniors gone is huge) should be ranked a little lower. Here is what I think. 1. Conner 2. Dixie 3. Boone 4. Holy Cross 5. Covcath 6. Newcath 7. Holmes 8. Ryle 9. Highlands 10. Beechwood
  5. Newport by 14. They are way to athletic for Covcath.
  6. Holy Cross should have won there last two games from what I heard. I agree, that next year they should have a very nice team with alot of experience. If you look at their scores, it looks like they were in most of their games and all of the top teams lose 3/4 seniors. If Knochelmann improves like he has this year, you will have a very good inside game with him and Arlinghouse and with Burger and Broering on the outside. They should be a a top 5 team next year.
  7. I heard Holy Cross was up with 2 or three minutes left in the game.
  8. I think the 9th region is wide open also.I think Dixe brings back a lot of experience and talent in Pike,Hatton and Stansberry, I also think a sleeper team could be Holy Cross. They only lose 1 senior and probabably bring more experinece back than anyone else in the in Nky. Holmes will still give people fits next year, but I think they will be beatable unlike they have been in the past few years. I also look for Boone, and Ryle to be in the hunt. If you look at all the top teams this year in the 9th region, they are all have at leats 3 seniors or more starting, so I expect to see alot of new teams at the top next year.
