They beat Jeffersontown by 24 a week or two ago who was ranked 3 or 4th in the state. They also beat Newcath by 14. Must be pretty darn good looking at those scores.

Dixie Heights 69 Holy Cross 61

I have only seen him play in three game this year and in all three the other teams best defender was gaurding him. One team even played a 2 2 zone with a chaser on him. I wonder if the teams up and down play is causing him to miss some shots because of fatigue. They really get after it on the press and push the ball on offense. -

Not sure if it was such a rough night for him. He took a lot of shots in the paint and was either fouled or doubled up every time. He did miss his free throws and is normally their best free throw shooter. -
Holy Cross/Beechwood Game on Internet Radio

Statman, not to change the subject, but were the Holy Cross stats updated with the Enquirer this week. I didn't see anyone in the stats and I thought I would see Mclendon, Arlinghouse or Burger in the scoring or rebounding averages? -
I agree with you statman. i don't know if you saw the same game i saw, but Burger pretty much had his way with Hitchew, The stats speak for themselves. I am curiois how many shots Burger took. i felt like he should have shot more because everyone else from HC was having a bad shooting day? Also how many minutes did the HC starters play compared to Newcath starters?
-
It was 31-29 Newcath with about 5 minutes left in the third quarter. it was only an 11 point lead at the end of the third period. Holy Cross just did not knock down shots and Newcath shot 65% for the game and probably a lot higher than that in the second half.

Holmes / Covington Catholic Predictions (1/12)
GFB64 replied to Walter's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Covcath should win 60-50. I believe their size will be the big difference in the game. Thelen should have a big night. -
He had an off night shooting the ball. I think he only attempted 4-5 threes and made 1 and a couple of them went in and out.

I believe his parents got divorced and they moved. -
How is Scott ranked higher than Holy Cross when Holy Cross just beat them? Also how is Highlands that high?
-
What were the free throw stats for both teams?
-
Scott plays Holy Cross tonight, who is not even ranked in the top ten. Guess we shall see how good they are!

FYI, there are two teams that full court press within the district now. I heard HC full court pressed Boone the whole game and goes 9-10 players deep. -
He will be 16 freshman before this spring. I am not saying anything negative. Just stating a fact.
-
I believe Hatton is 15 and he is suppossed to be a sophomore. He was held back in grade school.
-
There was no 3 point line when Draud played in high school. As a pure shooter, he was better than Schloemer and Beal. I saw all three play and they all had different types of games. I personally think Beal was the very best to play in the ninth region.
-
What about Jake Burger from Holy Cross. I believe he was the only Sophomore to make the all conference team.

Do they have the class rankings out for 2012?
