Who are the best Sophomores in Northern Ky?

Who are the best Sophomores in Northern Ky?

 

Don't know everybody but any list would have to include Jake Burger from Holy Cross. He can shoot it with anyone.

 

Thread says 9th region but if talking N Ky I would also say Cody Chambers from SK

I honestly can't think of too many sophomores making big contributions for a 9th region program, outside of Burger of HC and Pike of Dixie.

 

If we're looking down the road though, in no particular order:

 

Jake Burger- Holy Cross

Zeke Pike- Dixie Heights

Cooper Downs- Boone Co

Jake True- Highlands

Cory Cruse- Beechwood

I'd add Tom Arnzen to the list despite him being out this year due to injury. My guess is he'll be in the lineup next year for CCH. 6'4 and athletic.

I believe he suffered a knee injury, but should be ready for baseball season.

You may be thinking of another sport Walter. Jake is a hustler and will play defense with the best of them but he may be the 3rd best soph on Highlands.

 

Pat Towles- 6'4 180 and is getting a little bit of varsity minutes. Carter New has a strong frame and could develop into a dynamite point guard. He can knock down open shots as well.

My personal opinion is he will because of his love for the game. The kid may be 6'6 by football season, he is projected to be 6'7. He has a nice handle for a big and very nice moves around the basket.

Qryche, I honestly forgot all about New and Towles.

 

I know New is very quick and Towles is going to be tough to defend because of the versatility he has to go with his size.

I really think New could develop into a very very good Point guard. He already has a football body and a great handle. I hope he sticks with hoops. Being the grandson of Kenny Shields doesnt hurt either.

He will be a DB next year most likely and could be a backup at QB but Ty Seidl will likely be the backup.
