What was the injury to the Somerset QB?

Big development from week four was the matchup of NCC at St. Henry. Both teams were 3-0 and St. Henry got the 22-21 victory. If anyone has any details please post some information. I am sure it was a great game between two good teams. I am posting an updated week four standing for the 8th grade but again some scores were missing (plus the possibility of my human error), so it isn't going to be perfect.

I rank them as follows: 1 LCA 2 O-Cath 3 Beechwood 4 Somerset 5 Belfry 6 Mayfield LCA are the champs and have played a great schedule. O-Cath was runner up last year and also played a solid schedule. Beechwood would move up for me if they get the win over Cov Cath this week. All very tight, I don't think you be wrong flip/flop any of these these Somerset-Belfry-Mayfield are all close. It would take some real studying to differentiate between them. Drop after six is steep and I have a feeling any team 7-10 might get clocked by any and all of the top six.

Other games of interest: Cheifs/Colts - More prime time for KC. KC looked great last night. It surprised me, I really didn't expect them to win and also pegged them as a 500 team. I am curious if they steamroll Indy this week. Rams/Giants - Monday night action. Are the Rams that overhyped? Are the Giants for real? Commanders/Cowboys - Someone is going to be 0-2 in the division, not how you want to start the season. Chargers/Raiders - Are the Chargers that bad? Is Herbert ever going to step up and be more than average? Saints/Ravens - Saints had a chance on the road against the Lions last week. Schedule makers do them no favors sending them to Baltimore this week. Ravens looked great week one and this should be a matchup that will test them.

Stop the run. No turnovers. Be patient and CJ will give the Bengals a couple short fields.

Happy for the win. Long season. Plenty of opportunities for improvement. We won't always get four turnovers and short fields. Win is a win. Team scored 33 and it felt like they should have scored more. Defense gave up 20pts which is nice improvement over the 29pts per game they averaged giving up last season. Felt like the D line played well and the four sacks were great. Thought O line played average, which is what we are paying for, and only gave up one sack. Seemed like the offense as a whole was kind of 'clunky,’ and not real smooth, yet. Jamar needs more than four targets. I wish Zac would give up calling the offense. Year two and I am still not sure about Golden as DC. Season really starts next week. Texans. Steelers. Jaguars. Bengals need to find a way to be 3-1 going into the Dolphins game. Who Dey!

24-10 at the half. Hard to be disappointed. BUT, honestly, without the those turnovers Bengals defense has allowed a lot of yards and has been pretty average.

The BW 7th grade team has been impressive this season. Fun to watch.

7th grade Tigers played at Cov Cath last night. I did not go and don't have a score. The Beechwood 8th grade team hosted Dayton last night. They got a big win, moving to 3-1, and everyone got reps. It was nice to see players that don't often get to play much get to play. Not only did they get to play but also got some 'forced' touches to really get them involved in the action. Final score on the scoreboard was 52-0 (but I think it was wrong and should have been 44-0). I won't go into the details but BW did anything they wanted in all three phases of the game. They rushed well, which is their bread and butter, but they also completed some nice passes last night. Another week where it appeared both teams stayed healthy. 8th grade plays Woodland at home, next Wednesday. The 7th grade also plays that night, but based on the schedule it might be a JV game (mostly 6th graders).

NKMSAA is into week four. I posted standings through week three in the previous message. Some scores were missing and I believe there are few heat makeup games pending. Lastly, I would not be shocked if I made mistake when transferring some of the information.

Any streaming options for this one?

Nationally, I believe the Bengals are the most polarizing team In the NFL. I have seen experts picking them to miss the playoffs again, while others are picking them as a Super Bowl team. I know locally everyone is expecting big things, which is expected from a bunch of homer media personalities and fans, but around the country I think the Bengals expectations might have the most variance of any team in the NFL.

Will they lineup Pullom on the same side as Carrico, or will they move him around?

I don't want to highjack the topic but I am curious. How does the 2026 Bluebirds compare to the 2025 Bluebird team? It seems like Highlands is stacking back to back great classes together. Future is bright. Hope they all stay healthy and keep developing over their full high school career.

Super Bowl Is the goal every year. Or at least it should be. While I would be disappointed if they were to make it to the SB and not win it. I do think the season could still be successful, even if the ultimate goal is not reached.

Week One. Season is here. Put Up or Shut Up time! Two questions for the BGP Bengals fans. What is your personal opinion on a successful season? What do you actually think will happen this season? I will go first, for this to be a successful season I think the Bengals need to win the division and win a playoff game. I personally as a fan would not be upset if that is how the season plays out. Unfortunately, I believe this Bengals team will finish second in the division, behind the Ravens, and loss disappointingly in the first round of the playoffs. No excuses. No what ifs. What say you!

Last night was a big night for both the Beechwood 7th and 8th grade teams. Grant County made the trip to Fort Mitchell and were dominated in both games. Both games were running clock wins for the Tigers. Grant had a few guys that needed a little help off the field, but I don't believe there were any significant injuries. Both BW teams won with dominate run games and strong defense. It was nice to see BW get to empty the bench, which got some game reps for kids that have practiced hard, but haven't had a ton of in game opportunities 7th grade score was 30-0. 8th grade score was 36-0. 7th grade Tigers travel to Cov Cath, on 9/10. Beechwood 8th grade takes on Dayton, on 9/10, at home.

Sunday 1p? Friday night lights taking the open NFL slot.

All is cancelled for today and tomorrow, in Lexington and Louisville. Is Friday supposed to be noticeable better? Based on my free weather app, Friday is a repeat of the same hot gross weather we have had all week. Which brings me to the next question, what's the plan for Friday night games in the big cities? I will check the thread later, since I am getting ready to leave the house to enjoy some middle school football in NKY tonight.
