  1. Mornings - Bob and Tom -92.5 Afternoon - None Eveningss -Lance McCallister -700
  2. Gas prices going up only hurts the economy!!! Don't see this happening to that extent. Maybe slightly over $3, but not $ 6 or 7.
  3. Is there any good olympic winter sports????? I find about 5% interesting and about 95% BORING & USELESS!!!
  4. With all the cancellations, some players might not hit this milestone. Many schools are going to loose between 1-3 games due to snow, and that mean 50-60 points for that player.
  5. I saw the article in the newspaper, and saw some of the other venues that were in consideration to host the All-A in the upcoming years. For the life of me, I have a hard time understanding basic logistics. With the lack of events that the Bank of Kentucky (NKU) is drawling in, why would they not bid for the opportunity to host a good size event for 4 straight days. This has to be better than "Walking with Dinosaurs," "Sesame Street Live" and other productions. With the success that Northern Kentucky Teams have had in the history of the tournament I think the tournament would draw very well at NKU and make some significant money. With the addition to several hotels that have been recently added to the Wilder exit; I think Northern Kentucky would make a great host.
  6. Looks like many people will be attending the early games on Friday, and watching the NCAA games that night (esspecially if UK or UL are playing that night).
  7. This is common for people to go on stupid tangents about things that don't even apply to the game. Please posters.....stick to the game and not worry about all the other little stuff that people want to make a big deal about nothing! Please let's get back to the game.
  8. 1) Absolutely! There is no consistency to schedules anymore. 2) I also agree ticket prices have gotten out of hand. I don't mind them for adults, but I think student prices need to be no more than 2-3 dollars. 3) One other thing I think hurts the crowds is the web broadcasts, radio, and this web site. It is very convenient to sit at home and listen to broadcasts on-line, or get updates on the game. Many people can keep up with their team and not have to pay for it, or go out and travel in the cold.
  9. I'm sure schools can get in a jam at times with workers, so I don't have a problem with a coach at the table. However with that said, all coaches know that you can not say anything at the table, and I would think a strong official would say something to the coach about his coaching/comments. Officials need to be strong and make tough calls if they want to be successful. This is one case an official should have taken control of the situation and tell the coach that it is prohibited to coach from the table (provided the officials heard him coaching).
  10. Does this district make the first game played determine seeding, or is it Home & Home and a combination of the two games?
  11. To follow up on your statement. Here is the coaches/schools with the most wins over the last three years (including this year): 1) Holmes / Dave Henley(83 wins)- Great talent, multiple regional championships, far run at state tournament. Lived up to their hype over the past 3 years. 2) Boone / Greg McQueary (59 wins)- Great talent, size, shooters. Made it to the regional championship last year. 3)Highlands / Schlarmann & Flynn (51 wins)- Very strong talent. Many college ball players (Simpson, McGraw, and more on current team). 4) Beechwood / Rick Shumate(50 wins)- Have had some good athletes in the past several years, totaling up lots of wins, esspecially against the Div. III schools. 5) Brossart / Mike Code (45 wins)- 2 All A championships, more than just a power house amongst "A" schools. One of the top programs every year in NKY. 6) Campbell / Scott Code (44 wins) -Impressive since they have not been ranked at any time in the top 5 of NKY teams during this stretch but they are almost in the top 5 in total wins. 6) New. Cath. / Grant Brennan (44 wins) - Keeps continuing their success each year, and the torch has been past down over the years. Keep up the good work coaches!
  12. I predicted Dayton to win Division III, and I will stick with that. Dayton by 6.
  13. I know this may sound foolish, considering that Holmes has not lost many games over the past two years, and when they do it is usually a very close game. However in this game I am predicting a big win for Christian Co. Wilson will be too much, and Christian will win fairly easy (10 points).
  14. Not only may a team be a little tired, but a team and coach can only prep their team on one of their opponents. When you play back-to-back nights, typically coaches prepare them for the first game (unless the 2nd game is much more important-seeded game). Since this district doesn't seed, it is hard to say which is more important. This is a very good district and it should be fun to watch it play out.
  15. Nice win for MC to travel into the 9th region and get a quality road win.
  16. It appears that Cov Cath had a bad shooting night, and still got the win. Always nice when you dont play your best and still get the victory.
  17. I thought the last pic looked like he was trying to replicate "Spock on Star Trek" Does anyone have a pic of him putting someone the Vulcan death grip on someone?:puke::lol:
  18. I wasn't at the game, and I know you can't just look at the box score and quarter breakdown to get a real sense of how the game went. But it appears that Simon had only a bad 8 min stretch in the 2nd quarter, but played with them the rest of the game. Is this not true?
  19. Had to get there early to make sure of a good seat, but teams have some nice and upcoming talent from what I saw. Of course it is JV ball..... so sometimes it can be sloopy, but I think some of these players should develop nicely over the next couple of years.
