There is nothing like a nice close game!

I know that Boone had one bad quarter the night before, and that occassionaly happens to every team during the course of the season, esspecially in December.

 

Boone is very good, and they must have shown it today.

Talked to a parent from Hopkins Co Central tonight at our game. They had several players out. One got hurt and will have surgery later this week. Explains the lopsided score.

Would not have made a big difference, IMO. They could not break Boone's press. Boone could have won this game by 70 if they wanted. Bopne's starters didn't play the last quarter or so. The press was called off in the second half. I saw where Muhlenberg Co. beat Hopkins Co. 90-30 earlier in the season. Hopkins Co. only had one player with any real height too.

Being a Central fan and have seen all the games they have played, yes losing your point guard the day before playing Boone Co. did make a big difference. Now would they have won, not likely. They left Hopkins Co. with one less post player than expected, they lose their starting point guard and their number two guard. They also lost 2 other players, around the Muh. Co. game. It has been unbelievable what has happened to this team in one month. But at least now they can return home and try to fill some roles. They started a freshmen along with 2 JV starters and the last 2 varsity players against Clinton Co this morning. Losing 5 varsity players in less than a month has been a real trying experience. I would not wish what they have gone thru on anyone. Now as far as the point spread, yes Boone could have made it worse. Im glad the coach didnt; he showed some class by backing off, he knew the situation. No comment on the Muh. Co. coach.

I think our Rebels will be just fine this year!!!:thumb:
