  1. St. Louis Cardnials outfielder Colby Rasmus described Bronson Arroyo's pitching as "Doo-Doo" and "a bunch of slop." Is this sour grapes by Rasmus, or is Arroyo doing it with smoke and mirrors?
  2. Who is the better driver? Dale Jr. or Danika Patrick Both very average to below average. They got attention and credit for the thing that didn't relate to driving a car.
  3. Just glad the show is coming to an end.
  4. One other person I just heard about, was let go was Bob Jones the Athletic Director was let go a couple of weeks ago.
  5. If this was a firing, it’s another ridicules decision made by Campbell County Administration! They have a proven coach that wins everywhere he has been and has not to my knowledge ever had a losing season as a head coach or as an assistant. This is why Campbell County is a joke of a school district. They have so much flux in their coaching positions. When they do have a good coach, they LET HIM GO!!! UNBEILIEVABLE! From a friend of mine, that has a kid in Campbell County schools, told me that in the past year they have had the following: New baseball, softball, tennis, swim/diving, soccer, volleyball, wrestling coach (posted), and now boy’s basketball. Who would want to coach at a school like this? Coach Code in my opinion is an outstanding coach that has a .600 WINNING PERCENTATAGE. Just looking on Riherds and saw: Record of 18-11, 16-11, 15-10 (49-32 overall .604%) Fist year – Went to the Region (18-11) Second year- Won the AIT (16-11) Third year – Had another winning record, and win against State Semi-finalist Mason Co. (15-10) I’m sure another school will be calling Coach Code very soon and offering him a position.
  6. Will the KHSAA ever consider Volleyball for boys? Currently volleyball is in season right now in the state of Ohio. Would Kentucky ever consider expanding this sport to the males?
  7. Surprised to see the Giants being one of the favorites. I thought a lot of people hated them. I know I do. Hard to like a team/organization that knew Barry Bonds was cheating and choose to do absolutely nothing until it became public, and cashed in big time on ticket sales and merchandise during the Home Run record breaking year.
  8. 1) Schmidt 2) Robinson 3) Boggs 4) Brett There are many players that played 3rd at diffrent points of their career. Here are a few off my head: 1) Pujols (The BEST!) 2) A-Rod 3) Rose
  9. Not a first timer. To many sports writters won't vote players on their first ballots. But YES he will get into the HOF
  10. Did you ever see the episode on "Conspiracy Theory?" Just a thought.
  11. Splitting hairs with most of those starters. Can't go wrong with any of them. However, for the reserves/Bench Players/ or in the minors at AAA: (Many of them would never be in the greatest 25 players in Reds History, but if you were putting together a 25 man team. You could use thier abilities in various roles extreamly well off the bench). Hal Morris -would be a great pinch hitter - almost won the batting title and would be around .350 in the prime of his career. Gary Redus - Would be a good speed guy off the bench Dion Sanders - Would also be a speed guy off the bench and could get a bunt down if needed. Kevin Mitchell - Pinch hitter also with power and hit for a high average Greg Vaugh - Another good vet with some leadership (not sure how much of that would be needed) Pitcher......Danny Jackson!!! Would have won the Cy Young Award if it wasn't for Orel Hershiser's 55 scoreless inning streak.
  12. Vince Coleman played for the Reds in 1996. 33 games Hit .155 Terry Pendelton played for the Reds in 1997. 50 games Hit .248 Darren Bragg played for the Reds in 2004. 38 games Hit .191 Best known for his playing days with the Boston Red Sox 1997-1999
  13. Hard not to like all the Nasty Boys (Charlton, Dibble, Meyers) I know they were not as good as many of the people already mentioned, but I liked the way these guys played (hurt, but always hustled), but still legit MLB players: Eddie Talbensee Scott Sullivan Pete Harnish Ron Gant
  14. It is easy to think of these players in other uniforms but it is easy to forget that they also played for the Cincinnati Reds too: Please add your own to the list. Infield: Rich Aurilia Scott Hatteberg Terry Pendleton Juan Samuel Benito Santiago Todd Walker Outfield Ron Gant Vince Coleman Dante Bichette Darren Bragg Jeff Conine Jeffrey Hammonds Todd Hollandsworth Pitcher Eddie Guardado Steve Avery Todd Jones Mark Portugal Kent Tekulve
  15. A few others recently: Ty Howington Dan Wilson Edwin Encanarcion Dane Sarducci (sp) Homer Bailey????? Hope this is not the case and he has it straightened out. Older guys: Gary Redus Bip Roberts (one year wonder) Glenn Brags Duane Walker Wayne Krenchicki
  16. This is high school sports. It’s played by kids, officiated by people that have other professions, and it is suppose to be for fun for everyone, however we want to crucify people and "fire them" for mistakes in officiating, coaching, and other nonsense. Let’s stop trying to make high school sports like colleges or the pros and actually let the kids enjoy it for what it is. There is no need for Replay.
  17. I would agree with most of those rankings, but I would put Ryle higher. Perhaps up to 4th or 5th.
  18. The ACT should have a record of his scores. I think they keep scores for at least 5 years upon completion of the test.
  19. Ballard the favorite to win state? They are my choice.
  20. I can now see why coaches get out of the profession by their own decision!!!
  21. Hasn't Coach Code won every year he has been at Campbell? 18-11 15-11 15-10 Close to a .600 winning percentatge. Coach Code has done something (winning 3 straight year) that no other Campbell Co. Coach has been able to do in the past 15-20 years. I think he and his staff have done a GREAT JOB!!! Keep it up Coach Code!!!
  22. Mick started with nothing!!! He has gotten them to a respectable playing level in just a couple of years. Give the guy a couple more years and see what he can do. Right now we live in a world of immediate gratification. It is very hard to turn things around in just a couple of years (exception UK). People need to be patient. Look at UC football. Danintonio brought the Cats to a level of respectablility. It took a few more years (with Kelly) to take it to the next level. Give Mick some time, and support and he will prove his worth. He already has shown he can build a program at Murray State. Just because Cincinnati is bigger, it doesn't mean it's easier. Just the opposite. They play in the best basketball conference in the nation. It is going to be tough!!! And take some time!!!
  23. tale of two halfs. Amazing how you can look so good when shots fall you, and look so bad when they don't.....but yet you are running the same offensive sets.
  24. If anyone has updates during the game, please post. Should be a great game.
